Yeah, but NEs no longer need to have any allegiance to the evil faction, so... They're out of the picture, mostly. Since Exe can freely pick their target, they could just pick a Sus Coven and be done the next day. Doomsayer could guess 3x Coven correctly and obliterate your team. The only NE you can try to ally with, really, is Jest.

The Deputy is by far the most hilarious role I've seen so far in this game. They just burst out all serious and shoot someone. It's doubly hilarious if they accidentally shoot town. I love the deputy.

Even 4 coven is kinda op in this imo due to the buffs coven gets while also being assured that they don't need to worry about additional factions like mafia or vamps anymore. Still gotta worry about neutrals but neutrals aren't exactly very threatening other than the horsemen.

I kinda like how they implemented bloodlust into the sk. for me serial killer has always seemed weaker than the other nks. now serial killer is rewarded for successful kills rather than just having to hope your target didnt have defence.

I personally really don't like the new flashy colorful UI of TOS 2, it feels super distracting and the role balance is even worse than 5 Vamps in TOS 1. I really hope they give players an option to swap between the UIs, and also do something about the TIs, as posting any information solidifies your death the next night. Having someone who guesses a role, is super overpowered as people constantly claim and give results. That role needs a rework for sure, because they alone can get at least 3 kills per game JUST from one day of posting.

Having 5 members on a faction is insane. You had majority pretty fast and they don't have to worry about other factions like Mafia and Vampires. This is why Mafia doesn't need to be removed because Coven roles are OP than Mafia roles, which can be seen by how many Coven roles can kill town compared to Mafia roles (In the first game, IDK about in this one).

I'm sure the game will experience growing pains as roles are adjusted over the coming months, but so far it looks promising. I especially like the buffs to Coven Deception, as well as the new NK roles. There are some nerfs to town, which I'm sure is polarizing and a point of contention for a lot of people. If I were a betting man, I'd say these changes were made in order to break apart the very, VERY stale meta that surrounds competitive play in ToS. Personally I'm all for these changes, even if some roles seem OP / UP at first. Be patient and give the game a chance.

Not only that, but having only a single faction in a AA game mode is just broken. The balance in CAA in the original ToS was the fact that if you had 3-4 coven + 3 mafia, it was more difficult to coordinate against eachother.

Hey, I really only know Town of Salem by watching your videos and never played them. In the old game there always was a role description in the top right which was super helpful. Now it feels like I have no idea what you are able to do and what is going on espacially with the new roles. It would be really nice if you could add an explanation to your current role.

I feel like the game needs 3 factions + neutrals to function. Not sure if I'm right, but it also feels like TIs are weaker while TK is stronger. Really feels like ToS2 was pretty unnecessary and out of nowhere. I'm not a fan of a lot of the changes, and while it may be a really unpopular opinion I'm not big on everything having an animation and being 3D either. The new game just feels way too complicated from a viewer's perspective and it's too visually noisy right now as if it's like a tiktok-knockoff of the first game to appeal to people with a shorter attention span, with all the random camera movement etc. Even the new font for chat feels odd and the colors distract too much. I do understand why the devs would do this and try to make it look more "up to date" with other games but it's not for me at all, I'll just stick to playing/watching the first game for now and possibly change my mind at a later date.

Would definitely love to see more ToS 2. The new roles make the game a lot more interesting and the animations are great too. Though it's obviously not very balanced yet but it's something that will come with time. I love the deputy because days were so boring in the original game. It was basically a minute of just talking and the most exciting thing that can happen was a surprise mayor reveal. Now you have to pay extra attention to what you say to not get shot during the day

At a first glance, the game just seems a lot worse than ToS1. I know it is in alpha, but they need to make a lot of improvements before it becomes playable. They need to start by either heavily reworking or removing the Ritualist and Doomsayer roles. They are EXTREMELY poorly designed and incredibly bad for gameplay.

I think that the influx of killing roles hurts the gameplay loop of the All Any mode and speeds up the game too much. People keep claiming that ritualist and doomsayer block the VFR system, but it also prohibits nearly any confirmation of roles via TIs. The game seems too coven favored and too fast in its current state.

Imo, the Ritualist and Doomsayer try to lead the game towards a "convince town who is evil without revealing your whole hand" direction, revealing your role should paint a target on you since evils then know what kind of threat you are to them, like if a Shord knows there is a Tracker, he can just keep shrouding them for free kills without being at risk themself, thats also why the only abilities that can actual reveal roles are in the Witch and PM, my guess is that BMG wants to shift the game towards "general role claming (like TI instead of claming sheriff)" instead of outright claming your role. The lack of the old invest also then allows evils to hold out with fake claims, like an SK could claim TK or an Arso could sneak by with a TP claim, but this is just my 2 cents

Like others are saying, TI feels a little weak. Especially considering how important they are to town now, since in general it seems like misplays are far more fatal for townie roles like with the Deputy and Jailor. Also, I don't know why, but the new UI just feels so hard to get around. Between the new and changed roles it just feels really difficult to keep track of things, and the UI feels way too cluttered. Also, I had a thought, if you can enter other players homes at night to hang out, couldn't that be revealing for roles like coven that chat and spend a lot of time strategizing during the night? Since you're sitting still and generally unresponsive? I think it was mentioned you could do this in one of the other videos.
