IMO obvious jester is just a bad play 90% of the time. Townies almost never have a legitimate reason to claim jester, as an actual jester you become an easy target for vigilantes, tricksters, and jailors, and as an evil you just bring unnecessary attention to yourself.

⁠@@HumbleBeeUKWitch/Necro/Retri can use tav and/or pois. It’s not game balance but design since they need to be rb immune to use high priority roles correctly. I.E. think about a witch throwing a tav on themselves. The tav visits witch and the witch gets rb. If the witch wasn’t rb immune the tav shouldn’t have visited the witch and should have gone to the original target, but the tav already rbd the witch. This idea just loops.
