It's been 7 years since I discovered Town of Salem and it occurred to me that I never looked into the lore behind the game. Decided to make an audio-book style video, enjoy!

If I remember correctly lore was made by the community a long time ago so I don't know if we can take things seriously like how retributionist lost his ability to revive and his lore seems misplaced. But I still think it is funny to theorize some things based in the lore lol, like how the hell investigator reaches some conclusions with in his results (he is a terrible investigator).

According to lore, the Mayor basically shut down Doc's business for witchcraft (which is not). And when the Mafia came in, the doc offers to heal townies other than the Mayor.

I call BS. The Doctor can save the target from being obliterated by the Pestilence but can't save a charred corpse? Btw, you can tell that the night immunity mechanic was a later addition to the game since the lore involves those with Basic attack killing those with at least Basic defense in the night.

To be fair, there's a cure to most things (or at least something that delays the symptome death) but you can't really heal 4th degree burns, especially if the whole person was engulfed to flames and only stopped burning due to there not being any material to oxidize left

Apparently the wiki had wrong/reconned information. I remember reading that the coven leader wasn't the witch, that she was a cute girl that tended to get what she wanted, and later learned she was using magic. Edit: it's still up on the TOS fannon page

​@@thatponybro6940 yeah quite a bit of it is actually pretty good at, like, staying internally consistent with itself it usually starts breaking apart when you have role stories interfacing with each other. like doctor/SK/PB lines up pretty well, but consig/invest/mayor/jailor, i think it is, doesn't it would be nice to see what other lore BMG's got floating around that never got published to their website, but iirc it's largely not in a publishable state so we'll likely never see it. :(
