The range should rather be 0,992g to 1,002g for 1,000mL at 20C. I would highly suggest a straight pipette when unloading as it is a more repeatable and precise technique. I would also add that it is important to make sure there is no air bubble in the tip or extra droplets on the tip.

microgram. A micron is a micrometer. a microgram of water at 20°C is 1 microliter.
