I have usb devices getting reassigned by windows often enough (In StarCitizen). A device might be USB0 and be fully mapped, then it gets reassigned by windows to USB6 and is therefore a new, unmapped device. At least that's how this layman explains it. It's super frustrating. Does that happen to you? I'm also very interested in how you mounted a lot of your stuff, you have the independent monitor stand, as I do, with attachments for peripherals off it! Can you, have you already, elaborated on your articulating, "folding-away" 80/20 parts that give you accessibility to the cockpit? That looks like the greatest upgrade of all.

I only have USB controls get reassigned occasionally and it’s usually when I unplug/replug things into my PC or Hub. I think using a Hub helps in this regard. I’ve been lucky enough that if I can plug them back in, in the correct order then they will be recognized again as they were. Or if you can find the 2 (usually it’s 2 that swap) and swap them, that will fix the problem. But I don’t have a software solution. It would be nice if windows could assign USB addresses or at least have an interface that we could access to manually assign them. Then we could just document our order and reset the list to that whenever they get reassigned. But until then, the biggest key is to always plug the same items into the same USB ports every time. I always take a picture of all my connections and I have my HUB order documented as well. I did cover the HOTAS hinge mount in a previous video. Go to the video description and click on the playlist. he is stacking a wheel and a yoke. His rig is haphazardly though out and messy. The dude isn't good at this, almost every other rig that I have seen is cleaner and better thought out than this mess.

I have said many times that I am not good at these and I’m not posting videos like this for likes/follows but only to help other people who want similar functionality. And I would challenge you to create a rig with this much functionality with 33 usb cables and 16 power cables and make it look as neat as I have.

I noticed you had the D-box system, is the 1.5 inch travel enough for flight sim or do you wish you had more?

You’ll always want more LOL. But turning the intensity up makes it feel pretty good. I have mine mounted pretty close together so it feels better than if they were on the outside of the box frame.
