I love the detail in the foam and the placement of the props. Also like the fact all the people working on it are middle aged too. Can't wait to see a reaction cam footage!🎃👻🤡🧌🕷️

I didn't get any reaction footage, which is too bad because I got quite a few screams from the adults (some from the kids too.) I HAVE to set up a camera next year. It was a fun project, and if we didn't cut the size, would have had some other fun props I had prepared. Oh well, I have something to use for next year (assuming the boat comes apart okay and I don't accidentally destroy it.) I appreciate you watching! Happy Halloween!

Ha, my coworker said I should have made it a Goonies haunt. That would be pretty awesome, but difficult to get the characters right. Trying to decide if I expand on the ship size and add the parts I removed for next year, or do I "abandon ship" altogether. Ugh, that was terrible, I'll see myself out...

Thanks. I do think most of the kids liked it. One third grader recorded a video blog, and she called it "a little prep", so I don't know what that means. But she went through a few times, so even if that is a bad thing, she didn't hate it too much, lol. Thanks for watching!

Dude!!!… this is incredible! The pirate ship turned out even better than I imagined! Though I love everything, I think the parrot was my favourite part 😂😂.. you do a great pirate parrot impression 😂 Very well done bud! This is beyond impressive! Great job 🎃💀👻

Haha, I'm glad you enjoyed my parrot impression. The ship is mostly down now, just a bit of the frame remains. Everything comes down so much quicker than it goes up. It has felt good sleeping this past week as I get caught up on rest. Almost done with out next video, I'll try to get it too you this weekend.

This is beyond cool! You did an amazing job! I love all the little details and the fact that your whole family helped on that project. The flickering lights add a cozy and creepy ambiance. The water effect is very nice! I love the scenery with the skeletons, the treasure. You can tell there's a story there.

Thanks it was fun to build, and the family enjoyed showing their friends what they helped make, so they enjoyed it too. If we didn't cut the size in half, there actually would have been a story in the haunt, but a few things got cut for basic jump scares. That's what my son wanted the most, so I indulged him. Maybe I'll save some of that for next year. Or I could do videos about the haunt that could have been, lol. I appreciate you watching!

It was great to meet you both the other night. After trick or treating, our family got to walk through the haunt near the library that you mentioned to me. It was great, and the family who set it up was super nice. I sat my wife and son near the video screen. She suspected what was coming, but they scared my son pretty good. AMMMMAZING!!!!!!! No doubt the video cannot possibly do it justice! Your First Mate's mouth isn't moving. Mine's wasn't moving either and then it started working. Good luck!! Where'd you get those coins for the treasure chest? That's brilliant with the treasure and the lantern to set them up for a Mr. Dark jump scare!

Thanks! I will say the video doesn't do justice to how big it is. It's fun driving home and seeing a large pirate ship in the driveway (until I have to take it all back down anyway, lol.) My first mate worked the first time I set him up, and now it just barely moves to the point you can barely notice it. At least you gave me hope it could start to work normally again.
