*FUN FACT:* The ship young Jack is on at the beginning of the trailer is *NOT* the "Black Pearl", well not exactly. It is the "Wicked Wench" and Jack is not the original captain. You may also notice that the sails are not black. The ship eventually gets sunk and Jack makes a deal with Davy Jones to have it raised from the depths, renaming it the "Black Pearl". I'm sure you know the rest of the story... ;)

I think the reason why people dismisses POTC 2 is because of 3, I remember when Dead Man's Chest came out and everybody was comparing it to Empire Strikes Back and calling it among the best sequels ever created. at one point everyone thought Dead Man's Chest was going to surpass LOTR Return of the King & match up to Titanic box office but nearly came close at the time of 2006 scoring $1.066 billion at the box office. dead man's chest hands down is a great movie and not bad. a lot of people got upset with POTC 3 and likes to connect it with 2. Dead Man's Chest remains the highest-grossing live-action Walt Disney Pictures release. not counting the Marvel movies

For At World's End it was NECESSARY for them to make it more darker because of the whole EITC and Beckett thing. But the movie was just soo convoluted. Plot holes too plenty. On Stranger Tides was much better. That movie actually felt more of a pirate movie again.
