Pirates of the Caribbean Disneyland vs Disney World Full Ride Comparison

A side-by-side comparison of the Pirates of the Caribbean ride at Disneyland versus the Pirates of the Caribbean in Magic Kingdom in Walt Disney World.
When only a single video is showing, that's a portion of the ride that the other Pirates of the Caribbean doesn't have.
There are very few sections at Magic Kingdom, in fact, just a portion of the queue. Otherwise, Disneyland is far better and longer of a ride.
In our head to head battle of Pirates of the Caribbean Disneyland vs Disney World, Disneyland is the clear winner for us. What do you think?

100% Disneyland is better. The 2 drops make it that much better. I do like the queue line in Magic Kingdom. But most of the queue lines are pretty cool in MK.

Magic Kingdom’s queue wins for Ariel’s too. But they had more space and more preparation. Which is why it makes me sad that they dropped the ball on Pirates. Second drop withstanding, they could have made the ride just as long.

100% Agree. The queues are all much better in WDW in my opinion. More immersive and larger. But the rides (most of the time, and especially here) don’t compare to DL.

I was in Pirates at Disney World a few weeks ago and was surprised by just how dark of a dark ride it was. Barely saw any atmospheric lighting as seen in the Disneyland version here. I'm not even sure if it's the video quality for the California one, but I'll be visiting in a few months to make the comparison for myself.

I’m not positive, because I sometimes brighten up the videos so you can see things but I don’t think I did for this one. It is definitely darker during the beginning sequence. Just rode the WDW version again a week ago.

Call me crazy, but I am CONVINCED that the Disneyland ride has a steeper/more intense first drop than WDW 😂

Have you noticed that the auction scene at Disney World is longer? Also you move by Barbossa’s ship a lot quicker than at Disneyland. Plus it even has smells of gunpowder, marketplace, and rum that Disneyland does not

I was surprised that Disneyland's was brighter. I was thinking at first maybe two different cameras? Then I noticed in the pirates behind the jail bars trying to get the dog to come over with the keys, they had a light shining above them in the Disneyland version. I'm wondering if this is the case for the Haunted Mansion also. Both Pirates and HM here in Disney World are pretty dark. I haven't been to Disneyland since 2011.

Is there even one drop on the Magic Kingdom one? I don't remember a drop at all but someone I know went to Magic Kingdom a few days ago and says there's a drop.

There is one drop but it’s not very big. In Disneyland there are two separate drops.

The queues in Florida have to be inside or at least under awnings because it rains so much over there & since the queues are inside, they try to make them interesting. Our ride is much better though!

So… Disneyland is 6 minutes longer? Not a good sign for magic kingdom. Yeah, now that I’ve been to both I can say for sure Disneyland is way better.

Indeed. The Disneyland version is superior for this one. (For most of them if we are honest). Magic Kingdom’s queues are generally the only things that are better than Disneyland if the same ride exists in both places. I say generally, because MK’s Haunted Mansion is better than ours.

these rides have many differences, the Tokyo one is very close to Disneyland's

@@SoCalDisneyDad Its really good, but it is its own ride with a coupe of call backs to the original. if you think you will make it definitely try not to spoil it for yourself

That’s awesome! I honestly really couldn’t tell you. But I am going to try to do the new show at 7 PM in the Nautilus Amphitheater. And my kids will likely want to ride rides from about 6-7, so we will likely be in the Sesame Bay Area during that time. I don’t actually know where anything for Electric Ocean is, have to do some research before we go.

Wow I'm surprised by that comparison. You would think Magic Kingdom would have alot more to offer because size and space. But sometimes it just goes to show that you can't beat the originator where it all started.🤔😏

Disneyland is definitely better! WDW does some rides better though. But it’s mostly the queues that have a lot of the major benefits for WDW. Very interactive.

@@SoCalDisneyDad ok thank for the information. I noticed they say Space Mountain Disneyland's version is better too. I saw the side by side video and was surprised. The seating looks more comfortable and lighting through out the ride is more creative.

@@leonardclay4804 I’ve not seen either of them with the lights on to know about how the track compares side by side. But I do know that we have music in our seats, which makes all the difference. It’s so much better with music regardless of what the track is like. And we often get theming layovers in ours. Should be getting one here soon, a Halloween layover called Ghost Galaxy. The other is Hyperspace Mountain, and is my favorite with a Star Wars theme.

There are a few differences at World. Like the treasure room. But the extra drop and extended cave scene in DL wins for me. Of course, everyone is different, and I respect your opinion!
