One of the things I like so much about Elizabeth's character is the way she wears her hair down loose...a lot! In many period films like this, lots of women wear their hair up because that's the way they did things. While it swept up nicely is attractive, I think we get to admire the hair better when it is down. Elizabeth hardly ever wears her hair up, and because of that we get to see how pretty it really is. After all, "a woman's hair is her crowning glory", and I'm glad they let it show in these movies, ESPECIALLY when she gave her Hoist the Colors speech!

When I was younger I assumed she was but before having that final drink she changed her mind because she didn't like what it was doing to them both but seeing it again I get the impression she was just acting drink so Jack would purposefully get drunk so she could steal the rum and make a fire with it before he woke up.
