Here after watching the Defunctland video on Disney Animatronics. It's amazing that the original ride is archived online.

What's so great about this video is how it showcased all the animatronics and the sequence of their skits. You would never get a YT video edited like this.

Same I was scared of it as a kid. Now it’s so nostalgic. I never saw this one but I saw it 07 and 08. Went on it in 2016, 2018 and last year… can’t lie I got the nostalgia fix. Splash mountain was my all time favorite tho and they are ridding that one fully:( My future kids will only hear stories Lol

Disturbing fact: having already cost as much as the rest of the park combined to build, the bones were instead sourced from the University of California, and were REAL human remains.

Well, since we're paying as much as we do for Disneyland, might as well see actual cursed things and ghosts. 😂

I’ve heard that it is an actual skull of a human head in the bedroom scene. I never knew that there is much more actual skeleton bones - not fake props. If correct, then that is an interesting fact. Disturbing that the dead can’t RIP but instead hang out at a Disneyland attraction. Thank you for sharing.

I wish they brought back the original pirate captain in the fort scene again with Paul Frees’ voice, but I’m glad they got rid of the Davy Jones projector in steam over our heads and replaced back to Paul Frees, J Pat O’Malley and Imagineer responsible for writing both the script and song “Yo Ho (A Pirates Life for Me)” and also provided some of the voices X. Atencio’s ghost voices in the cave back in the ride. So it’s almost like the ‘67 version. Can’t wait to go in November!

For the 1967, the production quality is really high so this is clearly recorded by Disney, and these people are most likely actors/extras

@Emma-rr2ll4 ай бұрын
yes the movie was inspired by the ride (kind of like how they made a haunted mansion movie but that wasn't as popular)
@BeruBeruIce3 ай бұрын
I mean that's how it started. Funnily they didn't have faith on a movie inspired by the attraction and wanted Will to be the hero but Jack took the spotlight. And you can clearly see the inspirations taken from the attraction 😊

Trivia: in the past they were used to use real skeletons, they switched to fake scheletons lately due the new technologies and political correctness and easier to manage. Rumors say this dark ride was the muse of I corsari of Gardaland (1992 Gardaland). Those dark ride are so expencive due the little details, which is weird thinking hpw much are complex roller coasters.
