7:59 if you played Qd5, then they can sac the knight with check and there is a discovered attack on your queen. Qb6 was the best move.

Another great video, thanks! Robert, do you ever play the Nimzo-Larsen attack as white? I kind of like it and would love to see your take on it. Kind of strategic like the Vienna and Kings Indian openings you have covered for white.

at 6:08 i would move queen to e3 and check so king has to move so he can´t castle And is blocking it´s own rock and you still get that pawn. Or is this a bad idea?

after Nxc3,Bxc3, you can just take the pawn on c5 and threatening checkmate in f2, after maybe Qe2, then you take the bishop in c3+

At 17:13 in video, you missed ...Nc2, winning a Rook. Sure white was threatening .gxh7+, but just ...Kh8 and black has the a1-h8 diagonal covered, besides, you could always play ...f6 if you got into trouble.

Why not castle before playing ...c5? That way you avoid the drawing line while having a good chance to scalp a lower-rated player. Thanks.

To be fair... It was white that destroyed the Austrian Attack here when playing Bb5 and dxc5. 😎 If white know how to play Bb5 or dxc5 I'm not to sure about blacks chances to get some play. Maybe instead meeting it with 1 e4 g6, 2 d4 d6, 3 Nc3 c6 and after 4 f4 d5!? with, after 5 e5, ideas like h5, Nh6, Bf5 or g4 (exchange it with whites knight or preferably bishop if possible) e6 and c5 when Bf8 is not going to g7. Sort of playing the French. More a positional play but maybe white is most displeased with that. 😎

😅 good point 👍😎 I actually played this same line in Thursday's life stream where I showed how Carlsen played it VS Nakamura. It gets interesting.
