Pirini in Shqip or Albanian means stay and drink.. there were 2000 villages that we know in South bulgaria that were Albanian speaking villages.. it's sad becouse they were forced to leave or change theire names to Sllavic after ottomans left... sad..

2000 is hiiiigh exaduration there were just almost non albanians in bulgaria we always had very few. We still have even to this day tho we call them arnauti. How is it posible to force out our albanians and its still full with pomaks and turks ? There were also much more bulgarians in albania but people move constantly especialy when their own state is formed

THIS REGION WAS MACEDONIAN BEFORE BULGARIAN SOLDIERS OCCUPIED THIS REGION DURING THE BALKAN WARS IN 1912 / 1913 . PIRIN REGION BELONGS TO THE MACEDONIANS .

The Macedonians were not yet invented in 1912/1913. Macedonia is a Bulgarian region.
