Pisces - The Documentary

'Pisces - The Documentary' tells the story of Merton Pisces Swimming Club, which was established in 1973 by Harry Green, who still coaches and runs the club. Harry and Merton Pisces have helped so many children over the years and in so many different ways. No single film could tell all the amazing stories that Pisces has in its history but I hope that you will learn a lot about this fantastic club and its inspirational Head Coach.

Director's note...
I have had an incredible time making this documentary. Making a documentary is so different to making a fiction film and it has been so interesting learning about the process. As I said in my interview in the film, I've been in Pisces since I was 5 and it's been a real privilege to learn so much about it and hear first hand people's memories from the club.
Thank you to everyone who has helped me to make this documentary become a reality. Making a feature film, let alone during my first year of Sixth Form, has been no mean feat and I genuinely don't know where this film would be without your support, so thank you! 💚

My son Colin was in this club for 8 years. Harry deserves the award, and much more really tbh My proudest moment has to be when Harry once said to me “your son’s got back bone”

Joined the club when I was 4 back in 2007 and was a part of it my entire childhood. Ended up helping out with the little ones in the teaching pool when I was 16 which was a full circle moment. Harry is such an extraordinary person and role model. Thank you for everything and the amazing childhood memories ❤️

Harry phoned me on the weekend saying this film was up. Can't believe how good this was to watch! I was in Pisces from 1998 to 2011, swimming 3x a week and then coaching 1x a week in the later years. I really enjoyed my time there, particularly the socials and the trips, so this brought back a lot of good memories! Harry is a great (and hilarious) mentor and I would often think of him as my 3rd grandad! He's unbelievably dedicated and it's so inspiring to see him still coaching at 86. I can only hope I can be that physically and mentally active at his age. Also, what an incredibly well pull together film, the story, the shots and the flow was captivating. Keep up the good work! P.s. Isabel, that's my sister coaching at 33:46, maybe she coached you when you were 5!
