Windrock looks crazy! Reminds me of some of the trails around Hill of Life in Austin TX. Still interested to hear how you liked that Foxy. I rode the XL and Large, but also felt that sizing down to the Med would have been perfect for me at 6'2.

Ya the geometry was not what I'm used to, the front end was a bit low for my liking, the chainstay was nice and short, I got the hang of it more later, but I won't be looking at that one as future bike

@nothin5296 жыл бұрын
I've been a long time viewer of your channel, and always enjoyed the videos - keep em coming! What makes you say that the size small is better for the descents? I've ridden that bike (albeit the alloy version in a size large) and part of the reason it works is because of the more roomy fit, so I'm wondering why you would then size down..?
@JordanBoostmaster6 жыл бұрын
I mean it does come down to preference, and I think 475mm reach is ridiculous for a size M. The small was a 455mm reach which is still a little long for me, but the wheelbase was right whrre I liked it. But the small had a shorter seat post which made it worse for pedalling because I couldnt get the seat as high. But I dont care about that as much :)
@nothin5296 жыл бұрын
Jordan Boostmaster did you get to try the different sizes before you took it out properly? Yeah for sure sometimes longer lower slacker is not the best for every rider in every situation - despite always being shoved down our throats! Keep shredding dude and congrats on 100k you deserve it 👍

Windrock is the place to have a DH bike for sure. I got to ride a santa cruz v10 the next day for a little, and that was sick! The mondraker was definitely more rough, windrock was a little too much for that bike :)

Having trouble with my mtb upload quality. What upload bitrate, framerate, codec and file type do you use for 4k youtube? Thanks
@obi-wankenobi98716 жыл бұрын
KZbin tells you that. There is a dedicated Website where you can read everything. The codec is h_264 High Profile, bitrate should obviously be as high as possible, the GOP should be 50% of your fps and you are supposed to use 3 B-Frames as far as i can remember. The frame rate is allways up to you, but you should go as high as you can, so idealy 60. Over 60 is not sensible and i dont know if it is even possible on youtube
@christianbogan6156 жыл бұрын
Perhaps you should try recording in 1440p or even 4K,if you aren’t able to do that,render in either 1440p or 4K,although it may take longer to upload,having the video in 1440p or higher causes KZbin to place the vp9 codec on the video,resulting in higher bitrate and lower compression from KZbin :)

Propain Spindrift Cube Hanzz Commencal Meta Radon Swoop 190 Those are the options with good value for money, but then there are also bikes like the Santa Cruz Nomad. I have ridden the Propain Spindrift for about 1.5 years now and its amazing. Has done everything from really rough downhills to 80k tours with about 2k of climbing. You can also fully customize it on their website. While a freeride bike wont feel super sluggish it will still not feel as nimble and agile as a trail bike, so you have to concier that. Maybe a 160 mm bike will be enough for what you ride. I personaly really like the super stable feeling and unbeatable suspension feel of a steel coil though.
