31.6 mm is a nominal diameter - if the post and tube were both manufactured to precisely that size you'd need a mallet or more to get them together! Each component will be toleranced within a window a fraction of a millimetre either size of the nominal size to make sure any combination of tube and post fit together.

Jesus Christ died for our sins, rose from the dead, and gives salvation to everyone who has faith in him. True faith in Jesus will have you bear good fruit and *drastically* change for the better! Those led by the Holy Spirit do not abide in wickedness. God is three in one; the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit! Bless him! As I am led by the Holy Spirit, nothing I state is a lie, but the truth of God. Anyone who tells you differently is misinformed or a liar. They do not know God, nor led by him.

When you trust in God and cast your cares (worries, anxiety, depression, suicidal thoughts) upon him, they will be NO MORE! Know that there is power in the name Jesus Christ! His name casts out demons and heals! The world is wicked, evil, and of the devil. I too, was a wicked sinner of the world before I opened my heart to God. I am living proof of God's work and fruitfulness! He is an active God who hears the prayers of his! God's children are set apart (holy) and righteous. The devil is a liar that comes to steal, to kill, and to destroy; that includes your relationship with God.

I wanted to start restoring bike again, did it 40 years ago while at college. I just restored a 1997 Raleigh Max Cro-mo 1, I put some Schwalbe Billy Bonkers tyres on which really made it. I just picked up a Carrera Axle ltd edition cheap, I feel a bit stitched up with this one though, my fault I should have looked closer. The photo's showed the rear wheel off and no spindle or bearings. I started washing it down and that's when I saw it! beneath the mud in the contoured area of the chainstay was what looks to be a filed out section. Logically I can only assume the previous owner wanted some fat tyres on this bike a decided to make some room. It seems they stopped filing when two small holes appeared to the inside of the tube. Now I'm undecided how to fix it, with a cost of £50 to Aluminium fill the area, and that's after me saying to them to only fill it and I will reshape it afterwards. The other option that I'm not too sure on is using Aluminium welderless rods and mapp gas. I am wondering whether the heat from a blow torch will compromise the tempering of the 6061 T6 alloy and whether these rods would be a sufficient repair. Has anyone got any advice or suggestions. The damage is on the non drive side and about 2 mm to 2 1/2mm at the deepest point.
@nicholascucchiara7062
@nicholascucchiara7062 Ай бұрын
I would try and get a professional aluminum welder to do it for you if it’s only $50, I love doing stuff my self as well but I wouldn’t trust myself with a fix on my bike like that, I also wouldn’t trust those welderless rods to really hold the frame together, just my opinion.

Thanks you for donating this bike to such a Fantastic organization!! I am part of a similar Veterans organization called TRR (Team River Runner). We get Vets "Off The Couch" and into boats - AKA, Whitewater kayaks for some well deserved outdoor, fresh-air therapy. There are TRR chapters all over the country. Cheers to you my Friend!

Been watching your videos pretty much all winter while sick. Am a 63 disabled vet who used to ride a bike as my only transportation. While sick I decided I would look for another bike to help me get healthy, not knowing how sick I was. Found and bought a mtb and quickly found out my body was to torn up to just start on trails. In a flurry of everything coming to a head, was lifeflighted a month ago for emergency surgery to remove a tumor they found in my bladder. After getting home I found out I couldn't walk for any kind of distance, but was healing and feeling better. So I decided I would go on a hunt for a bike to rebuild while healing. Found a 40 yr old road bike for a good price and bought it. Turns out a pedal change was the only thing new bike needed. First ride got me 30 blocks, 2 nights later got me 40. Without people like you and the great community you encircle yourself in, I might as well be bedridden. Thank you for your content and great connections to be able to help others like myself. Finally subbed. Lol Sorry for length, Respect

P.S. Biopsy came out with a very malignant tumor that is recurring. Was removed but will be back. Guess learning to ride trails became a bucket list item. If anything would like some film of my bike doing something with a professional rider at the helm... Thanks again Seth for what you do....

As a retired mental health social worker I commend you for this. I have always owned a bike. Usually a big box store brand. I bought a Scott Scale and it opened the forest. I have worked with a lot of younger veterans and have actually got them into the forest. I got a Scott Spark two weeks ago and the mechanic is a veteran who gave me a map on some new trails.

Thanks Seth…I posted a comment a few months ago about maybe donating a bike to help a veteran. Was very surprised to see this video. I am a disabled veteran myself and am intimately familiar with the challenges and struggles veterans face day to day. This simple offer of help may seem small but the impact can literally be life changing. Well done…

New subscriber… With kids having gone to college in the past few weeks I’ve attached myself to mountain biking as my new ‘hobby’. Videos are exceptionally well planned and shot, and really appreciate the bike flip videos. Thanks for the instruction and entertainment!

Thanks so much for your kindness to Military veterans. Those who were badly traumatized certainly should be on our gift list. I was one of the lucky ones who merely served without taking any hits, just regular working duties of a normal sort. Just the Military life in itself, in peace time, is enough to change you for the rest of your life.
