How long does it take for the water to come out of the pisser's after starting the boat?

Should be relatively quick , maybe 10 or 15 seconds or so.

@@robsyamahajetboatdiymainte4162 dang I'm not getting anything. 2007 sx230. I stuck some trimmer line in the pisser's to see if anything was stuck in there and nothing seems to be clogged
@robsyamahajetboatdiymainte41622 жыл бұрын
@@gregfiglia47 well keep in mind, your water pressure from your hose has a lot to do with it too. If you don't have enough pressure you won't get anything out of the pissers.

Rob, love your videos, I’ve watched ALL OF THEM. I just purchased my first boat EVER and have learned so much from you, thanks. (2019 Yamaha 242 Limited S E-Series) Even better, I know you’re a Veteran and, if I’m not mistaken it appears you were a Warrant? I am a retired W-4 (Army) as well. I believe you said you’re on the jetboaters.net as well? What is your member name on there? Would love to meet up with you one day and tip a few (drinks on me) to say thanks and talk boats and war stories. Love your patriotism. Take care brother.

Hey Rob great video! I watch them all! I’m up here in Canada and I just bought my first boat (2007 SX210) and I would love to get these parts including the bilge..... but I’m having no luck finding them! Can you help me? Maybe the website or part numbers? Sorry to bother you I know your a busy guy but I would really appreciate the info so I can order them for my boat..... it’s hard up here in Canada getting after markets parts because they come from the USA and a lot of places won’t do international shipping! Thanks again and keep up the Videos they have been a great help

Shawn, I am not sure the exact size of the hose's you have on a 2007 SX210 but I cant imagine they are different being that they are the same engines... www.adaracing.com The parts are called Water Bypass if you search the site. There are several colors and designs so part numbers will be dependent on what you want. As you saw in the video, 3/8 inch for the water port and 3/4 inch for the bilge but you can also get away with 1/2 inch for the water port but will have to widen the external hole on the boat. Both will work. Hope this info works for you.

No rubber washer or silicone?
@robsyamahajetboatdiymainte41625 жыл бұрын
I felt they sit high enough from the water surface that water wont get into the boat and if some did its not enough to worry about. More water gets into the boat with people getting in and out of the water then these will ever allow..

I dont think so. It's a pretty tight seal once the nut inside is tight.. water doesnt get up to the pissers very often to be concerned with leaking... it's a individual preference I think..

Question... what is the mixer you are using on your hose? I assume you are using this with salt away as well?
@robsyamahajetboatdiymainte41624 жыл бұрын
I use a Chapin International G405 feeder from Amazon. $14.99. Yes I fill it with salt terminator and flush for about 5 min each engine. One canister will last about 10 flushes before having to refill it.
@lanesummers56894 жыл бұрын
Rob's Yamaha Jetboat DIY Maintenance do you run salt away/salt terminator the whole 5 min? I usually flush fresh for 4 min and the last min with the solution. I try to leave a layer of the solution in the engines.
