I have one of the basic Ghaaleri airbrushes, it's by far the best airbrush I've used to date, I have managed to get very fine mottles on Luftwaffe aircraft with the .03 nozzle and needle. They are great airbrushes but I can't see me using the swallowtail one as the one I have is absolutely fine for my purposes and by the way, I'm sixty six. Thanks for another great review

i find if i polish the needle with some really fine polish the airbrush tends to spray fine details even better

Barbatos Rex swears by this airbrush how it performs brilliantly really thinking of getting this after your review now. Saw it on eBay for £109.99 but without the fan cap 👍

The Studio G airbrush was actually developed in collaboration with Studio G (kzbin.info/www/bejne/qXLLdK1pqqlsjLs) specifically for people with hand or wrist issues, such as carpal tunnel syndrome or arthritis. I find it a bit easier to "aim" the airbrush if I put my index finger flat along the side of the airbrush and work the trigger with my middle finger. Then I can "point" the airbrush at what I want to paint.

Thanks for that it's good to know the info why they made it ect Got to admit I have started using it more and more as it's so easy and comfortable to use

I could never get on with standard airbrushes. Found them too awkward to operate. This might just work for me.

going to try some fine detail this week with it to see if its better control than my usual airbrush

Would this be good for someone with slightly shaky hands? No severe tremors or anything, but it seems to me that the really really infinitesimal adjustments needed to truly control the top-mount airbrushes would give someone with a low-key finger tremors the absolute maddening itch. You know the one I mean. I thought a pistol-type trigger might make it easier to control, since there's more 'forgiveness' in squeezing a trigger and you can put a finger behind the trigger as a hard stop if necessary. I'm still very torn, however. What would you recommend? I've seen so many reviews and I'm torn. I want to make sure my fiance can paint his 40k army with as little frustration as possible!
