I have a Goby and a Pistol Shrimp in my aquarium. They’re so annoying tbh, the shrimp keeps digging under my corals and burying them. That’s why my dad caught it and put it in the sump. That will be temporary, next January I will set up an enclosure for both of them, a tide pool ecosystem. the pistol shrimp and gobi fish relationship is my absolute favorite symbiotic relationship. makes my heart want to explode it's so cute and wonderful and sweet! the show didn't add that the shrimp also the literally **FARMS** some kind of sea grass or moss inside of their burrow and then allows it to grow in the entry-way area. Yea , they literally are farmers (!) and they meticulously keep and clean the den for themselves and their partner Gobi .. it's like the most adorable thing in the world we don't deserve animals

About the snapping and the bubble. Its the movement of electrons causing a static shock like on ground would with that static shock forming an air bubble from the heat produced from it. This is also why it puts out light. If you took it above water it wouldn't be able to do this because electrons move more freely in the air than in water. So it would take less force to do this in water than it would in the air.
