Installing “ slow and easy” next hit knocks the hell out of with one hit

Direction the piston faces? That's a topic that should be discussed.

Can you do the rings by hand one at a time when you install the piston in the block?

I'm trying to install pistons into cylinder block with a similar wiseco brand compressor. But the last thin ring of the oil ring es very hard to insert. It suddenly expands when leaves the ring compressor and enter the chamfer in the block. How can I solve this?

I'm not sure the specifics of their ring compressor, but I do know they can be a bit tricky to get in, especially if the compressor is off a bit. Hopefully you've solved the issue with a little practice.

I just received some mahle power pak pistons 87mm for my H22 I’ve been looking online and finally came here but can’t seem to find an answer for which direction the piston is to face. The numbers towards the intake manifold is what seems to be correct but I don’t want to assume.

Did u ever find out what direction to face the piston
@mmmvtec903 жыл бұрын
@@boostedr5397 yes I did. I just matched the old pistons valve cut outs with the new mahle piston valve cut outs and got them installed with no problems and have a new tune in it at 543whp. I would’ve liked to have something in writing but I faired well lol.

Nice What about orientating the rings?

Like he said in this video, they did that in a previous video.

Good video I have been using the tapered sleeve compressors for years I do have a slight disagreement with one point the amount of oil on the cylinder bore can be an issue a large amount of oil on the bore can glaze the cylinder walls at start up This information comes direct from Total Seal in fact they recommend WD40 on the rings not oil for assembly oil is also ok but they say you should not have even one drop of oil fall on your drip tray thanks for the great video

That sounds like total BS.

WD40 contains water... it also attracts water after a little time. If you are not going to be done with the build in a day or two, then I would keep WD40 away from the engine components.

nothing about connecting rod lining up with the crank or valve reliefs
