Question , ? Isn’t the plunger suppose to be the opposite way ? I was watching the hoppos video and they installed the opposite or does it matter? Thanks Great Video

Are hard lines good for hopping? I’m wondering If the pressure would be greater then a hose
@LOWRIDERHYDRAULICS
@LOWRIDERHYDRAULICS 3 жыл бұрын
Hard to answer because the inside diameter of hard lines is smaller on 3/8 stainless so it restricts a little. You can jump to 1/2 but you end up creating more room for volume or standard rubber hoses.

Hi Russell, I like how you explain about piston pumps, also can you send me info on what accessories I need to buy for the pistion pump just like you have in the video, I plan on putting 2 pistion pump set up in my ride and wanted to know if I can do Corner left and corner right, do I need the adel to go with the piston pump or it's not really need it

Is the piston a form of shock and reason of multiple pump systems i was trying to figure out why they had so many pumps when most things use a single pump or low pressure and high pressure and create multiple functions off the valves
@LOWRIDERHYDRAULICS
@LOWRIDERHYDRAULICS 3 жыл бұрын
Piston pumps create more force basically because of the added psi behind the piston. It’s not like a shock.

The piston just isn’t charged anymore. Not as strong when you hit the switch because it no longer has help.

Great video! just learning the piston pump myself , can the piston get stuck ? In the tank if it’s not greased up I don’t think my piston is moving all the way back when I load it with 30 psi I do it when the pump is installed in the car does it make a difference if I pull it out like u did thanks
@LOWRIDERHYDRAULICS
@LOWRIDERHYDRAULICS 5 жыл бұрын
Juan Diaz doesn’t make a difference if it’s in the car or not. When the piston moves at all it is lubricated by the hydraulic fluid so it’s not likely that it is getting stuck. I’d say if it is getting stuck it would be because the tank has a dent in it, otherwise it should be moving. Make sure that when you add the psi to the block that you immediately remove the air from the end of the tank, that should allow it to move all the way back. If you still think you are having an issue, remove the back plate and see if there is anything on the inside keeping it from moving.

My piston pump has 2 air valves which one do I use to fill with air
@LOWRIDERHYDRAULICS
@LOWRIDERHYDRAULICS 3 жыл бұрын
You start buy putting psi in the one on the block, let out the air on the back side of the pump to reset the piston. Let air out of the one on the block, then fill the one on the end of the tank.

How long should keep air in the piston once you fill it up? Say you want to fill it up for the weekend, should you take the air out after a certain time period?
@LOWRIDERHYDRAULICS
@LOWRIDERHYDRAULICS 2 жыл бұрын
There are mixed reviews on this question. It depends on if you are running air or nitrogen. Air has moisture and can corrode over time. Nitrogen is the better option. It also depends on how much you are running. If you are only running 50 psi I’d say you are good to leave it in there but if you are running 150 psi just for hoping, you should probably let it out when not in use. Some people do leave it in there at all time. Letting out the air relieves the system while not in use. It’s up to you.

Just to make sure. You don’t pressure the air side until it’s back hooked up on the car with the air in the oil side bled out right?

@@LOWRIDERHYDRAULICS I did make sure the air was released on the backing plate before I shot air in the block, but I’m guessing there might of been a little in there because that makes sense. Thanks
