How are you timing the engine? Just using the factory tools/alignment points? Has anything been done to the cylinder/short block mating faces that would affect compression? Or is the head gasket aftermarket? Any adjustment to those measurements knocks the factory OEM timing marks out and you need to use a timing wheel on the crank to time the engine exactly

@@BrodeyDoverosx nice. Well tbh I've never taken apart one of these engines, but you'll find the same rules apply. Any modifications to the original deck height or head thickness makes the standard cam shaft timing marks/process invalid.

Please check what kind of metal the cam is made from it maybe messing with the reading from the sensor. Yo may need to add a resistor on the power side of the signal wire to correct the reading. I am reaching with thought process but you won't know until you try. Thanks for the content. Can't wait to get my abarth going like you guys.
