I missed this post, another great video! My biggest gripe about pulled pork is people bathe the pork in the sauce and you can't even taste the pork. I'll have to try these dry rubs. I think I'd like this more. Thanks for video and insight.
@DeadBrokeBBQ
@DeadBrokeBBQ 4 жыл бұрын
I agree completely when people take a bottle of sauce and smother the pork all you taste is the sauce. Most of the time that is just crook pot pork so they try to add a little flavor but really they might as well just handout spoons and a squeeze bottle of sauce instead! Ha ha I promise you will enjoy these SuckleBusters rubs, quality! Packed with some great balanced flavor for sure!! Thanks for watching bro!!

We got food to eat. lol And yes that snow scene makes for a purdy post card, but did I complain about 100 degrees and high humidity. I take all that back now. The pork butt from Boston looked great Jeff. And that bone ..... Anyway, I'm sure you ended up with some nice Sammy's for 2 or 3 days. You needed some Carolina sauce for that. Nice job buddy. Now go shovel out that drive.

Thanks PIF! Ya that storm started out with freezing rain and then bam the heavy snow came but I have to admit you cooking during the dog days of summer is worse because I can always just put on my swampers and a stocking cap. You having to cook in your underskips raises the chances of a nice pit burn somewhere we won't see it! I used your Carolina sauce on one of my sandwiches and it was fantastic! Thanks for the video! I am smoking a butt on the pitboss for the first time. Switched from masterbuilt electric smoker. I really wanted to understand how long to use the P settings for so I did it for about as long as you did, but trying P5. I also didn’t read in the manual about moving meats to the left or right for different zones, unless you decide to open up the sear grates. I figured the temps would be the same all throughout? Maybe they need to add more info to the manual. Excellent video! I subbed.

I do not know of any cooker that has the same exact temp through out the chamber made, at least that I can find. Some are closer than others but most have a hotter zone and a cooler zone. Run it at a lower temp and then when you get up crank it up a tad to finish it off! When I do overnight cooks I typically run at 200 and then up early and check to see what I have to do. @DeadBrokeBBQ 4 жыл бұрын
First thing remember I was cooking when it was around 35 degrees outside. I never really cook by time mostly just looks and feel. Temps are just guidelines. My best advice is to check it every 30 minutes rotate it a few times and sprite every hour. Once you probe that meat and it feels like a tooth pick in butter it is done. Meat doesn't take anymore smoke really after 160 degrees but if your run isn't set keep it going before you pan it! Good luck and I hope this helps!! You got this!!
