My favorite mcu movie has been black panther since it came out. The story is great, it has a well developed villain, and also THE MUSIC!!!!!!!! I'm actually one of the people who didn't know that the winter soldier is Bucky and didn't check the internet lol.....i was actually surprised.....however i wasn't surprise at all to see red skull in infinity war i actually called it out in the theater and also i do have a few old guardians of the galaxy comics and i was familiar with drax yondu and nebula.....wasn't familiar with rocket and groot......definitely the best stand alone movie in the mcu' it's hard to compare these to the big team up movies

My favorite movie until 2017 was Civil War, until 2018 was Infinity War, until 2019 is Endgame. MCU has great soundtracks, Mark I theme from Iron Man, the Thor theme from Thor Ragnarok, Captain America March from The First Avenger (of course!!!) and Black Panther and Wakanda theme from Black Panther, Portals theme from Endgame, the theme from Civil war is also good. Also all are in my workout playlist.

That's whats up!!! For me, only Cap, Black Panther and Infinity War have memorable scenes for their hero's or villains. There's good music throughout the MCU, but not many original Superman or 1989 Batman types of themes where they're going to be remembered forever.

Given that Honest Trailers invited the Russo Brothers in to view the trailer for CA: WS and that the Russos liked it - and admitted that they like HT and try to make their movies "...Honest Trailer proof..." - I'm going to give it to HT this time. Besides, the HT folks made it explicitly clear that they liked the movie, so it was an affectionate parody. I don't understand why both HT and PM assumed that Tony Stark would have detected Hidden Hydra; of all the places in the cyber world where they would absolutely, positively, never ever keep evidence of their existence, the S.H.I.E.L.D. computer system would have to be at the top of the list.

The way they kept talking about how Hydra wasn't set up in the previous movies, it's just a theory but I've heard somewhere that they ordered the nuke for New York because they wanted to take out all the Avengers at once. It hasn't been confirmed and might be wrong but I think it makes at least some amount of sense. On a different note, I really like Dr. Strange for the plot, the visuals, how they were able to set up the ancient one as a likeable but flawed character and set up enough of an emotional attachment that I felt sad when they killed her, but my favorite villain is Hel, she reminds me of Azula from ATLA and I just like her vibe. Anyways, sorry for rambling and great video as always!

I'm surprised the AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D. ratings dropped with the Hydra connection. Those were great episodes and made the whole event feel so much bigger. That's why I wish the show hadn't been forced to be its own thing, because having the show cover the five years after Thanos erased half the universe could have been neat.

The thing that annoys me the most about the movie (and it annoyed me in the trailer): Bucky shoots an explosive device at Fury's vehicle and it attaches to the front. And then an explosion comes from the back of the car and it flips forward. That's like, physically impossible.

Ok. This is my number one as well, with Thor Ragnarok right behind it in the MCU. Overall, Darknight, Darknight Rising, and Batman Begins are my 1, 2, 3, followed by CA: WS and Thor 3. Anyway, for this video, though, I have to give it to Honest Trailers by 1 point! They were both good, but I have to give it to HT for the way they presented the same points of the movie. The winter soldier is hands down my number one. I can never decide is the Avengers or Infinity War is my number two. They are both great in different ways. Definitely like how Thanos was essentially our main character in Infinity War. That is something you rarely see in a movie these days. As far as why the winter soldier is my top pick. First I’m in the military so I suppose cap will always have a foot up on the other avengers in my book. Dudes a baller haha. That and pretty much all the reasons you spoke on but also the social commentary that it has. The issue of a ever growing government and where as a people we are willing to go or what freedoms we will give up to maintain order in a society. Even to the point in this film where they would bring punishment via the gen 2 helicarriers to people who might one day commit a crime is intriguing. It a debate you see more and more these days. People will often compare the need for a broader reach of government to things done even in WW2 just as Furry did when he first showed cap project insight but as cap said,”This isn’t freedom, this is fear.” It is just very interesting to me and to see it on screen between furry and cap throughout the film was awesome. Not to mention the very real implications it had by the end of the movie. Also community is great. Even though by the end of its run it was vastly different then its pilot but that’s a different talking point completely. Also the Russos did have a hand in arrested development.

Captain America is my favorite. The first movie really shows cap as the humble superhero he is in the best way. In the Avengers, he was still him but expected more from him on the action and personally, didn't like the suit that much. Captain America : the winter soldier was the ace, the movie is so good in every aspect. From here onward Cap was lit throughout till endgame. Best trilogy and character in MCU for me.

I think in the beginning superhero movies and a great many fantasy movies were eye candy aimed at a younger demographic. Batman more than Superman changed it. They hit an barely tapped goldmine and ran with it. Including the surrounding merchandise, much of it created for adult fans who comprise a huge if not the biggest demographic. More so now since superhero movies are about the only big screen movies they pour resources in or promote. Basically everything else is kicked to the small screen and even there fantasies like "Game Of Thrones" can be dominate. With technology developing enough to make mayhem on a giant scale and impossibilities appear real, they're masters at dazzling with visuals. What they haven't done nearly as well is writing plausible catalysts. It has to be in the top five consistently underdeveloped areas in fantasy and superhero films. It plagued the Hobbit trilogy and is a fixture in superhero movies. They need to hire someone with the specific task of bringing it all together realistically. The Catalyst could become a new field of specialized writing. Let the main writers do their thing but pull in the Catalyst sub contractor fixer and make Honest Trailers and Pitch Meeting really work . Sometimes there are so many inanities they could have enough material for their videos written before finishing a small container of popcorn. Somewhere there's a writer possessing excellent plot skills, surrounded by unsold scripts, still writing every evening after his/her day of flipping burgers. Come on Hollywood, go to the basement, look over all the dusty scripts, get yourself to the drive-through and hire her/him to make sure never again, in a big budget movie will things like "the safety of the free world doesn't depend on not buying gum" occur. Both made me laugh, Pitch Meeting was my favorite but Honest Trailers was close enough to breathe down Ryan's neck.

You're on it!!! Plot points have definitely been the weakest point of a lot of these movies. I think of when Writer Guy always says, "because", to answer a Producer Guy plot hole question. Sometimes I think the writers do the same thing, lol!!!

@@OnMyMindEntertainment Yup.The "because " gets a hot script sold while the producers are in that's going to be "tight" mode. What were they thinking , fix it on post? Exciting action and often juggling a number of heroes, not P-offing fans, all in budget must the biggest worries. Science is fairly be easy to make-up, Latin/Greek based word salad that sounds impressive can slide by. Not too many people are upset by the mix not making sense when the visuals are stunning and something like legends Batman (who occasionally seems like Darth Batman) and Superman are having it out.

CATWS was definitely the best Captain America movie, but I don't know why Honest Trailers didn't like The First Avenger. I liked it, and I remember reviews being really good. CATWS was also the last good MCU movie. Everything afterward was all out, over the top comic book fantasy, and the post credits scene with Wanda and Quicksilver was a warning of what was to come. Once you had ordinary humans acquiring super powers, I think we should have known it was all going to hell.

I have a captain america winter soldier theory. My theory is Robert Redford's character was the original white Nick fury. Because look at him in that movie. He looks JUST LIKE white Nick fury.
