Absolutely perfect. I’d live there til my knees went, then I’d live in the taverna, adding some glass/fly screens to the door.

This is just perfect for me. It hits everything I'm looking for. The construction, the floor tile, level of finish and that great stove just put it to the top of the list. The second floor should be an en suite and the loft should go unless you have kids.

Pitigliano is lovely, there are thermal baths nearby. One thing to take into account is how to get shopping, luggage, etc, the alleyways are small, no cars

Pitigliano is a remarkable, must-visit, ancient town, with the fabulous Panificio Celata bakery. Cars are not allowed to enter Centro Storico, so living in the historical center here has its issues. This is a characteristically interesting property, with a lot of charm potential, but, being a tall person, the lower ceilings and tight spaces scare the daylights out of me. Historically, Italians are small-boned people, and not very tall. This explains why so many older properties appear weird to Americans. The water well in the basement also scares me. Wherever there is water/humidity, mold and creepy crawlers are usually not far behind. Folks with respiratory issues need to mindful of this in Italy.

Do Italians not have bidet toilet seats? This house REALLY needs to remove the bidet but you can still have one by just installing a bidet toilet seat. I have one. It was $85. I love it. They’re great and they don’t take up additional space.

I would continue to say that bathtub needs to go when it is a parent that a bathtub needs to go. It’s also important to remember that most people have showers and prefer showers. If need be a small wooden stool can be set in the shower to provide a seat, but that has to be a little larger than one they can all all you can do is turn around.. So in my opinion, recommending the bathtub be replaced with the shower is right on target

Thanks! I am in a hotel near Venice today and scared to crap because my shower is in a tub and it is so crazy to get into with a huge glass door that is hard to get around and no mat... They trying to kill me here!

HI Brad. Are there mortgage periods in Italy? 10 yrs, 20 yrs, more?
@BradsWorldАй бұрын
Usually 15-20 years and 40% down.

how high is the Water level in the Grotto ...perhaps could be made into a indoor Jacuzzi or Pool 😉

That I doubt... No way to keep it clean and pumps and circulation etc...

Always enjoy your vids!! Nice condition home, turnkey really, but for me, it's a bit too ad hoc/hodge podge in it's design/layout...good price, mind...
