I would typically be nervous about being an early adopter of an upgrade as complex as this but your dedication not only to the engineering of this thing but to providing videos on a semi-daily basis to explain issues and offer solutions has me strongly considering jumping on board. been watching your tiktoks, i havent bought a printers, because still searching a good multi material printers, Bambu is ok, but only love the A1/mini, the big one no, prefer Prusa mk4, heck, if the mini+ support multi material, i would bought one, looking towards longevity and upgradability in the long run.

That makes me thinking of getting the pitstop extruder because the stock system isn‘t really ideal for the mmu to work with.

Yes, it's tricky. I've got 2 MMU units but haven't used them for a long time. People say it works well with MMU.

Hello, First of all congratulations on the project, I will apply this on my Prusa mk3s, but i was wondering if it is possible in sees of the magnets do this with screws, yet it becomes easy to maintain and I in my case preferred, thank you very much

It's funny, I just modified the Extruder Body using the Step files you posted to be able to stick the PTFE tube all the way through to right above the bondtech gears. I thought about drilling the hole but didn't have a spare part. It's working great now although I've only just installed it last night so I haven't tested it much. The assembly video did kind of confuse me about the bearing ball so I did initially leave it out which was the right call. I'm gonna continue being awesome now. Thanks :)

Did Prusa change the MK3S/MMU2S upgrade kit? My kit came with 2 sets of magnets. One for MK3S upgrade and one in the spare parts bag. Regardless, awesome design.

Not sure, maybe you're lucky? Got the MK3S separately? What I know is some people didn't receive the magnets and I checked with support that there shouldn't be magnets in the simple MMU2S upgrade.

Awesome idea and development but what is the real benefit? I just made my mmu work to print tpu (need really low idler tension) and I‘m worrying about the lever working the same in the pitstop extruder.

I really don't think the stock Prusa extruder is a great option when using the MMU2S. That filament sensor is just way too finicky where it is installed, and printing with flex filaments it really difficult with this extruder. The TZB (The Zero Beast) extruder is a huge improvement in reliability. Unfortunately, I don't believe there is a PitStop mod that is compatible with it (hint, hint 😄)

ooh, I see you have a printed part underneath your collet clip on your heatsink, what does that do?

It prevents the clip from loosening so the PTFE tube doesn't move up and down.

So when using the M or L. Forgot print others when together the sensor is always triggered. When apart it doesn’t. Ideas?

Try nudging the sensor to the left. Try shaving off a bit from the M one from the right side where it touches the door. Hope that helps
