I was in the middle of Wisconsin pumping gas at a gas station and wearing my Kennywood shirt. A lady at the next pump noticed it and said, “Are you from Pittsburgh? I’m from Pittsburgh too!” Yinzers are everywhere.

Born and raised in NY, but my heart bleeds black and yellow! Even lived in the poconos for a few years, but had a lot of eagle Jagoffs up that way. But yes, we travel strong, and the love is long. Steelers or bust!

LordOfNothingham I live 6 hours from Pittsburgh and love it. I’ve been to Pittsburgh twice in my life. Both for sporting events where I really only socialized with the group I traveled with. I’ll take this guy over the vast majority of shows on TV today. Haven’t been to Pittsburgh since the early 2000s.

But wife’s name ISNT EVEN DEB!!!! 😂 Love it, never stop! Watching the last 5-6 years, and so glad I came across this man. Hope to one day sit beside him during a game. I was in Indiana traveling with friends. We got lunch meat and other stuff to keep eating costs down. I went up to the deli telling my friend watch this. The lady asked can I help you? Why the Steelers Faith is ingrained....I was an Alter Boy in a Small Parish, and our Church was an old Coke a Cola Distributor Bldg,awhile we saved for a New Church. I was a Public School kid in 1973, and they let me be an Alter boy. Our Priests normally wore a lot of Green, and Purple, but after the Immaculate Reception, at Mass they wore all white with Black and Gold Trim (Albs?) Jack Ham was our Parish Favorite....he went to school with one of our young new Priests, so Ham was As Divine, as his Play was.....loved Him, But Lambert was just the Best!

As always, I laughed at several comments, even when you are out of character. The bottom line is that we all relate in one form or another. It is part of our being. As a side comment, I literally experienced the Pittsburgh connection when in California. My wife and I were visiting family and wanted to see the Santa Monica Pier. We were doing the tourist thing and biology caught up with me. So I am standing in line for the men's room and the gentleman in front of me has a Steelers shirt on. Understand that while I grew up in Pgh, I have been in Middle TN for over 30 years. So, I ask if he is a Steelers fan and he replies yes as he is from there......Really, huh !! What part? He replies "South Hills" and it starts getting a little more serious. I ask again, "What part?" to which he replies "Baldwin". So here I am, on the other side of the country, standing in line for the men's room at the Santa Monica Pier in February 2018 and I meet a guy who is a Steelers fan from the community where I grew up, not 2-3 miles from my family home. We are all part of the Pittsburgh family !! (queue Sister Sledge at this point). You can't make this stuff up !! That was not the only time - I have met people from Pgh by just listenting to them and the unique dialect.....drives y wife nuts, and I love it !!!
