Found this video by chance. Very informative. I have macroadenoma. The left side of my eye is partially damaged due to the compression on the optic nerve. Taking cabergoline to reduce the tumor. Also taking hormones for testosterone, thyroid, cortisol. MRI shows tumor shrunk significantly, but still present. Prolactin level reduced to acceptable range, testing every 6 months since 2013.

Thank you so much . The video was so informative I did my surgery in November 2022 Initially I thought it was an eye problem through CT scan the doctor discovered I had a pituitary tumor as a result my left eye lost vision due to the tumor. Am currently on Levothyroxine.

My Macroadenoma went more left than up so instead of compressing the optic chiasm it compressed the left III and IV nerves.

43:30 i think we can't say directly microadenoma? and send to MR . maybe it's ectopic cushing . we should supression test with high dose dex. right ?

I had growth hormone deficiency growing up which impacted my development and I had to take growth hormones to catch-up and then maintain normal development. I’ve had some mental health challenges as an adult and I’m wondering if my pituitary gland could still not be producing enough of something very important? I stopped having hormones etc monitored at age 16 so I’d have no clue if I needed to continue monitoring this.

🔥👏🙏 Thank you! Very informative. Any chance a TBI(age 6) survivor could have been misdiagnosed (age 14) w/ Hypothyroidism instead of (Pan)Hypopituitarism? 🤔 I have been on Levothyroxine for 29 yrs. I am weened off 2 months now and feel great. Wondering if I was misdiagnosed. God bless.

There are many theories but doctors don’t actually know why. Sometimes Radiation or something but often times the reason is unknown.

Why only postpartum blood loss causes but not others like internal bleeding and others ?
@aranzysanchez3 ай бұрын
Because in postpartum, the pituitary is enlarged. it's more susceptible to blood loss.
