sid was not just some lonely kid. he purposely destroyed his sister's toys and frankensteined them back together because he knew it would disturb her. also if you actually watched the movie you'd know sid is talking about how he plans to destroy them and the implication is that he is imagining them being people. even at the most base level, he's exploding things with rockets, he's burning the toys for no reason other than to destroy them. how many bones do people break trying to defend this character? he was designed as a sadistic bully type just let him be that.
