Pixel 6 / 6 Pro: Forgot Password? Let's Master Factory Reset

I was excited to find a straightforward, easy to understand tutorial after not having my phone for a month. However, with two-factor authentication set-up for my email account and not remembering my pin, these instructions did not work for me.

i literally spent all morning talking to verizon reps, then went on help call via my computer and even went into a verizon store and you did more in 2 minutes to help me than they did in the past 3 hours thank you!!

Mine is still asking me for the old pin to complete set up. How do I get around this?

Im in the same boat. my kid set up an extra phone to play with, now I need it and I cant get it unlocked. I did a factory reset and now it just asks for the previous pin.

THANK YOU SO MUCH! I had to call verizon, they sent me down to a verizon store... then they couldn't help me either! It's been a frustrating day to say the least (and my first day off in many, many days). After many videos and searches, you are the only one with a real answer. I appreciate you! Unfortunately it tells me it needs the previous owner's google account and password. She forgot it, and her phone number disconnected. I may still be able to download and install either Graphene OS or Flash the ROMs back to memory.

don't you need to know your Google account password to remove your Google account as well ? Don't think it would be usable by another person with the Google account still logged in on the device

when it's factory reset it won't have the previous Google account logged in..

@klueless4611 It actually is still locked to the original Google Account unless you removed it before restoring. I am currently going through some company returns right now, and it still asks for a PIN number or Google Account after it is Factory Reset.

It wasn't mine. I needed the number in order to find the owner. I was able yo get it once it reset. Phone has since been returned to the rightful owner! Thank you!
