In US it's a $300 difference. I got the 6 Pro and my buddy has the 6. I can say without a doubt the 6 is the best value and really the best all around phone for most people.

In Australia i still had my Samsung s8+ which was still a good phone for me. I was on a $50 Sim plan that gave me 100G of data p/month which was with Optus (carrier). When this phone came out for black friday sales I bought it on a 2 year plan for $69 P/m plan with telstra (better carrier in Australia than Optus). So for extra $19 for 24 months this phone costs me only $456 for the 256G storage. It was too good to pass up on.

If you are on a budget, I recommend the Pixel 6. However, if you can afford the $300 price hike, then the Pixel 6 Pro is actually the better value. Let me explain why. The difference between the Pixel 6 (currently $599 on Google Store) and Pixel 6 Pro (currently $899 on Google Store) is $300 (US). However, going by average cost online for the extra items in the Pixel 6 Pro from various parts stores, the costs are actually greater than $300. These extras are as follows: 6.7 in QuadHD screen with 120 Hz refresh on P6Pro vs 6.4 in 1080p screen with only 90 Hz refresh on P6 - average increase of $80-$90 12 GB RAM in P6Pro vs only 8 GB RAM in P6 - average increase $60-$65 12 MP front facing camera with 94 degree wide angle view on P6Pro vs only 8 MP front facing camera with 84 degree wide angle view on P6 - average increase $85-$90 48 MP rear telephoto lens with 4X optical zoom on P6Pro vs no telephoto lens on P6 - average increase $75-$80 23W fast charging on P6Pro vs only 21W fast charging on P6 - average increase $35-$40 Cost of increased items on P6Pro - average $335-$365. Now I realize Google probably doesn't pay these prices, but still, in factoring in the same discounted prices for the regular Pixel 6, it balances out. Yep. Went from a Pixel 4a to an S20 5G because the 4a just felt... Unfinished. I loved the 4a, but it felt amateurish in build (bad crackly speakers mostly). The S20 5G was nice, but I hate Samsung's bloatware and near-daily user agreement updates. The screen cracked on the S20 5G (entirely my fault) and I bought the Pixel 6 (non pro). Size is good, flat screen is a plus, and it has the Pixel feel that I love in a grown up finished kind of feel. This one is a winner, for sure.

When you consider that you can buy the Pixel 6 + Pixel Buds + charging brick + wireless charger + case + screen protector + Chromecast + Google Home Mini all for less than the price of the Pixel 6 Pro, it really puts it in perspective. Is a 4x telephoto and 4k selfie video really worth it to you? 90% of the photos you take will look identical between these devices. The chip and general use are identical. I went with the Pixel 6 Pro because I intended to keep this as my only phone for at least a year (I used a variety of phones this year, not a cost-effective lifestyle and certainly not sustainable). The telephoto lens provides a bit more flexibility and maybe some additional future proofing. I haven't minded the curved screen at all despite coming from the Pixel 5 and I'm not minding the size as much as I thought I would. What I do wish I had was some of that Sorta Seafoam action, I do miss the whimsy of that color tremendously (loved the Sorta Sage on the Pixel 5).

I got both and was sim-swapping every couple of days, but I've left it in the standard Pixel 6. All of the extra features you get with the Pro aren't nearly as noticable as you'd expect and I forgot how nice it is to have a flat screen. Standard P6 all the way!

@@coomr419 if you are staring at both of them side by side you'll see a difference, but it's nothing insane. Both displays aren't close to newer Samsung screens. Despite the lack of the 3rd camera, the better in-hand feel and flat display make up for anything the screen is missing compared to the Pro.. but if you just have the p6 in hand, you'll have very few complaints. It's smooth.

There's always a lot of diminishing returns when you're buying more expensive phones. But I do think for enthusiasts who have been clamoring for a telephoto lens, 12 GB of RAM, a big battery, etc. It's worth the money. It's basically the same price as the plastic s21 Plus. And you're getting a proper telephoto camera.

In Canada, the 6 Pro is $1179 before taxes. The 6 is $799. That's a $380 difference for us if we order it direct from Google. If we finance it through a carrier, the average difference is $15.82 per month. I'm jealous of the U.S. pricing. lol 😂 Great video, thanks for posting.

Went to purchase the Pixel 6 (coming from s20 Ultra), because my s20 was almost completely broken just from small drops and bumps while in my pocket (honestly the worst phone I've ever had). But found out I could still trade in my s20 for $800, so I just couldn't pass up getting the pro for $100. The phone is amazing, however, if you can't get a deal on the Pro like I did, the standard Pixel 6 has much more bang for your buck.

(SMS hadn't even been thought of) Only problem is it couldn't store names so you'd have to remember which memory spot 1-9 you stored it in haha, I had 4 battery packs to get me through the day, they'd all be dead by 6pm, I was on a high volume plan through work so luckily calls were cheaper, my calls were only $1.87min bargain!

The Pixel 6 is indeed a fabulous product by virtue of its intrinsic qualities and for people who want the Google experience, fans of `` Android Stock '' but above all by its price. But I think that where Google made a strategic mistake is not to have put the same selfie camera as on the 6 Pro. You want to conquer young people today, you need a selfie camera at the level of iPhones and Galaxy. The selfie camera is in fact the most used camera today. But personally at this price point, I preferred to go for an S20 + or even (and that, it pains me to say it as a fan of Android) a iPhone 11 Pro or 12 normal. Ps: I'm also a little disappointed that Google is only promising 3 Android updates, which means an iphone 11 will still be updated when the Pixel 6 is no longer updated 😞.

I bought the Pixel 6 256gb, the pro was a non consideration based on size as I also have an S21 Ultra and an S20. I upgraded from the S20 to S21 Ultra for the amazing cameras. 6 months later, I bought the Pixel 6 which ultimately I prefer. The Ultra undoubtedly has a performance edge in camera and hardware but the Ultra is not usable with one hand, I'm 6'1 and unlike Trump I don't have unusually small hands. I have 3 cars and the Ultra does not fit in any cupholders. I have broken the glass lens on the camera twice while the phone was in my pocket (it is easily replaceable if you don't damage the 'eye' itself). The S20 definitely feels small and dated compared to the Pixel 6, which is larger but still has good one handed function, nearing the limit for normal hands. Camera on the Pixel 6 probably outperforms the Ultra on night shots and probably in picture appearance in shareable formats, but does not compete in the zoom department at all. If you want a camera that takes detail of the moon, that's the Ultra. You want smooth, functional that doesn't impede convenience? The Pixel 6 is outperforming it's hardware.

I ended up getting the regular Google Pixel 6 but honestly I've been fine with Google's cheaper A Series Phone's I've had them all since the Pixel 3A and they are great I highly recommend them especially if you want a cheaper but very capable Smartphone! This is my first Flagship Smartphone from Google because I didn't have the money when I was only working Part Time but I figured now since I'm working Full Time and have the money it's time to Upgrade to a Flagship Smartphone I currently have the Google Pixel 4a 5G I didn't Upgrade to the Pixel 5a 5G because I didn't think it was much of a change from the Pixel 4a 5G or worth the Upgrade and I wanted to get the Pixel 6 instead. I don't really think the Google Pixel 6 Pro is worth the extra $300.00 your basically getting the same feature's with the Google Pixel 6 with some feature's that I can live without from the Pixel 6 Pro like a bigger Screen I'm not a big fan of a Screen that's too big if you want a Screen that's big like that just buy a Tablet because a Phone with too big of a Screen can be hard to fit into your pocket especially with a Case on it. I'm not really worried about the Camera either I'm not a huge Camera person I don't need like ten Camera's on my Phone and a bunch of Camera feature's that I probably will never use and also the RAM is good enough in the Pixel 6 and so is the Battery life you can also make your Battery life even better if you Root your Phone and use some Root Apps a lot of people don't realize that if you Root your Phone you can do so much more and you can make your Phone way better than it already is I've been Rooting my Phone's for year's ever since I had Samsung and Motorola Phone's because Motorola Phone's are cheap and are great Phone's but they lack Android Updates that's why I'm sticking with Google and I like the way Google is going in the Smartphone Market but either way Rooting your Phone is worth it especially if you have a Google Pixel Phone.

I purchased the pixel 6., And after.15 days I go back to my pixel 3, it's bullky , heavy, slippery, new os sucks, it likes to call 911 for no reason every other day which is a big no-no, I don't understand Google
