@@Conannnnn You know, honestly, I thought since being a power user that Google silicon that wasn't up to snuff was going to be a problem. But honestly, the pixel 8 has been a super smooth experience and in Florida in the United States, the Sunshine State, one of the brightest hottest places. You'll probably ever go the brightness going all the way up past 2,000 nits is one of the greatest things I could have hoped for indirect sunlight. It's actually possible to see and read this screen without struggling. Despite the lack and power, I haven't had any issues playing warzone mobile. It's a pretty smooth experience. I get absolutely zero issues in call of duty mobile. It runs my shooters just fine. I also haven't had any issues with it playing Black desert mobile. I will say that if you like to use steam link and play games from your phone that steam and the pixel do not like it and that is a very inconsistent experience regardless of how good your Wi-Fi is and how close you are to the actual computer that you're remoting into. I am one of the few people who haven't had connectivity issues with this version of the Samsung modem, but that's also supposed to be fixed in the pixel nines with the new Samsung modem. I personally prefer curved screens that kind of fall off the edge of the device. With that being said, I have not been upset with my flat display. I will sometimes pick up my pixel 7 Pro for the nostalgia. I personally think that the Chloe screen off the side causes for that Pebble shape that Samsung used to be known for. That feels really good in the hand. The cameras are always phenomenal. I don't care with the shootouts and the dxo marks. In my experience, pixel gets the best shot and the only way I've even ever been able to become close to that with any other phone that I've used is typically by using a gcam mod
@oneplusaim1582Ай бұрын
@@Conannnnn now while the battery life I would definitely say isn't great. I wouldn't even compare it to my iPhone 13 Pro Max. Honestly, I don't even think that it's as good as my OnePlus 7t Pro McLaren 5G, but what I will say is that if the new battery information that is given in the diagnostics that came with the last Android 15 beta update is to be believed. Despite the number of times I've already had to charge it, it's already gone through 180 charging cycles and claims that my battery capacity is still at 100%. So I'd say it's resilient, especially since I'm like a compulsive charger. Once my phone starts to break into the '60s I have to put it on the charger sometimes depending on what I'm doing. Even if I start to fall around 78 I'll put it on the charger if I feel like I'm going to you know, be busy that day and be using the phone a lot wherever I'm going. I also use my device for work so I'm constantly using the GPS because the job that I have we cover the entire State so it's not uncommon for me to have to drive sometimes even a few hours to get to a job site. So KZbin GPS running it does kind of hit the battery pretty hard in a short amount of time. I want to say I can go from 100 to $80 and probably an hour and 20 some odd minutes listening to KZbin videos while using the GPS

Many of the features that make a Pixel a Pixel is the reason I can't legitimately consider anything else as a viable alternative and continue to buy another Pixel. I'm really hoping though with the 9 Pro and Pro XL that Google doesn't give the XL some unique traits like say Apple did with the 5X zoom on the 15 Pro Max that the 15 Pro didn't get. I would like to go back to a smaller phone after owning a 7 Pro and now a 8 Pro the last couple of years. I really miss the size of my standard Pixel 6 and I don't mind taking a small hit on battery life that will potentially come from the smaller 9 Pro battery over the Pro XL if the phone is otherwise the same particularly with the cameras.

I have sold my 8 Pro again because I felt the SoC was too weak for everything Google is promising. Most AI features were Cloud based and those, that weren't, mostly were already available for some years on other pixels. Also the SoC wasn't strong enough for photo and video processing of its cameras. It couldn't handle video boost locally, so they had to offload it to the cloud. Iphones produce similar results locally. On all lenses and 60fps. I think this is the future of all Samsung tensors in the next years, while the tsmc tensors receive new features that are handled on device.

I have my old galaxy note , a 14 pro max ( my daily ) , and the pixel 8 pro my second phone Too me im not that blown away with the pixel cameras , Sometimes they are very good , but these days most high end phones have very good cameras , comparing mine to my iphone they seem to trade blows , neither is perfect , on one or two occasions i took photos in poor light with pixel thinking it would be the better device for the job only to find it was just bad , i am a bit of a camera buff and took 5 photos with the pixel , and to my surprise not one was worth keeping and went straight to delete bin , i took the identical subject with my iphone , again 5 shots with all being usable but 2 not Great, and 3 being excellent keepers , again and it was probably a more difficult subject, on other occasions i have taken outdoor shots with both my pixel and iphone in good light , , and both where decent, but the pixel was just a bit nicer. The pixels chip hardware to me as mentioned in the video seems more like a high mid range than flagship , it does the job for general duties though , I'd like to see a better finger print sensor at least and a more powerful chipset in the next one , for my use as a dude with big hands , i wouldn't mind if it was a tad wider , personal preference. The AI stuff , meh , I don't use gemini , Google assistant does the job , of course that could be a bit smarter on the device for daily duties. On the whole i think its still a pretty good phone and Google is heading in the right direction ( albeit slowly).

Im still using my pixel 6a since launch, great device, still.

The stubborn insistence that Google not provide 128 GB models - because people must be forced to buy only 256, 512 and 1024 GB. Not everyone is obsessed with capturing photos and videos of their everyday life.

Can someone answer if you take and send a picture from a pixel using ultra hdr on it and send it to say an iPhone or s24 ultra which supports hdr will it show up in hdr on the other device. Thanks

I am very confused by the battery charging speed of this smartphone. It is unforgivable for 2023.

I found my pixel 7 pro to be an extremely boring and bland phone, and the cameras were decent but not anything out of the ordinary, so i decided to get the xiaomi 14, it's been a massive difference, it's so much nicer to use

Is a pixel 8 pro still worth it if I can get it for 300?
@user-ip8fi4fp3mАй бұрын
The p8p is already old and will soon be forgotten by Google. Within one more year Google will say the g3 is too weak for current ai updates

Wait until the pixel 14 it wont matter google sucks at hardware

I hate this phone! Overheats, lags at times,becomes unresponsive! Tensor 3 is underpowered, great camera though 👍
@user-ip8fi4fp3mАй бұрын
No way anyone is going to keep this phone for 7yrs.the g3 is already to underpowered for even current ai uses. Which is the reason Google is doing these pos chips so within a year they can say sorry but your phone cannot do current ai stuff.

You're an employee of a Valnet website. You will love whatever corporate tells you to love. And Valnet tells you to love whatever piece of garbage Google releases. So you will, or you'll need to find another job.
