Truth be told, I'd probably go with the 8 with the current sale price! ($549 for 128GB vs the 8a for $499 for 128GB) 🤓 Just three short weeks ago, I switched back to Android after being on iOS for 6 or 7 years and went with the Pixel 8 Pro. The guy at the AT&T store asked "why would you do that?!" He just couldn't understand why I'd go from Apple's 14 Pro Max to Google's Pixel 8 Pro. 😆 Anyway, I'm still learning (or re-learning) my way around, lol. Great info, as always!

Oh yes, on sale, the 8 absolutely makes a ton of sense. Without the sale, it becomes a lot murkier.

Yay! So I would love to do 4k (and have in previous videos). With this video I wanted to challenge myself to simplify a bit so the edit didn't take me days. I'm using an ATEM switcher and it only does 1080p. Still playing around with options though so I'm not counting 4k out, the cameras are capable and look great in 4k. It just adds so much time to my turnaround and I'm a one man shop doing so much every week. But its definitely a goal!

Great view Jason. I would just get the pixel 8 if the prices are similar for the better specs as you stated. Currently google is running their summer sale and again the pixel 8 is 549 i believe. Best buy has the same current sale prices as well. However i understand some people will just use that savings and get the 8a instead. Really interesting strategy by google.

Agreed, with the sale price it makes sense to go with the 8. Once the sale ends, that becomes a lot more difficult to justify.

Nice one Jason. Ill stay with my Xiaomi. I just don't trust Google's hardware long term and their love of "Graveyards" 😊 Keep it going and hope it works out for you, it can't have been easy but you will get there 👍👍
