I absolutely agree with you I have 16 pro and 24ultra and pixel flip 6 . The pixel 9pro XL has a lot to offer the music on the home screen how it just tells you what on is so sick . Everything just works . Camera is great I'm no photographer and my pics look great my iPhone family is like send me that because it looks better than there shots . Mkbhd did an interview and said he was using the s24 ultra so I went back to it for 3 days and I missed my pixel . Great vid/review.

I have the 9 pro XL and I love the music feature, I showed my son who has an S24 ultra and he said it's just like auto Shazam. And he's right. Shazam has a similar feature built in.

This phone for my use is complete. I'm using the 9XL. Great camera, snappy, reliable, AI that's actually useful for my needs and I've been getting on average 10-11 hours screen on time for a full charge. 70 minutes to change from 0-100%. I've been an iPhone user since the iPhone 4. I haven't looked back since I've had this phone. So much so that I'm ready to go deeper into the ecosystem. I love it.

Finally got a pixel 9 pro here in canada. It's a pretty nice phone. First google phone since the Nexus 5. Haven't used it a ton yet but Im impressed so far. Just taking some getting used to because I always have samsung phones. I still immediately put Nova Launcher on it though. I have a specific preference for my home screen and couldn't make it happen with the default launcher. Camera is a big deal for me and one thing that is really taking adjustment is not having shutter lag. I was so used to it with samsung phones I didn't know any better haha. The camera on this phone is impressive.

I may sound strange, but I prefer the audio button to be on the right side of the phone, not on the left side, because I normally hold my phone with my right hand and it's easier to increase/decrease the volume with my right thumb finger.

One thing concerns me about the 9 Pro XL. I read an article about one user's camera bar dislodged itself with no apparent cause. Could just be a one off, but I did lightly wiggle mine and there _is_ an uncomfortable amount of give. I watched a few teardown videos, but no one really messes with the outer shell's camera cover. I'm gonna leave it alone, but I have to wonder if this will be an issue down the road, or if other variants are in a similar situation. Still, I love my phone. Best Pixel yet!

Thats good to hear... I honestly lost hope in Pixel lineup. Had the 6 Pro, 7 Pro, 8 Pro and i just gave up. Bug after bug... With Bluetooth... The processing on the photos would take to long. I ended up going back to my S23 Ultra, and shortly I will be giving Apple a shot since 2013.

I agree having the phone launch with 14 was the right call the phone came out with no OS bugs and functioned perfectly. Now with 15 launching they had additional time to refine it and optimise for 9 I hope 😅.also have you opened developer settings and reduced the animation time to 0.5 makes the phone super snappy since google have slow animations from the factory.

Great video man. I own the s24 ultra a z fold 6 and a pixel 9 pro XL and I must say that my pixel is my favorite overall for sure. It is so smooth with scrolling and with the UI that it's insane. I wish Samsung could get on this level of fluidity. Samsung just has that little judder every time you touch the screen to begin a scroll. It's not everywhere but it's mainly on Gmail and Facebook and stuff like that. But on the pixel it's completely perfect so I'm not sure what Samsung has going on. Pixel has definitely been my daily driver ever since the pixel 8 pro.(I'm so mad at Apple. I forgot to mention that I have a 15 pro Max as well)😂😂

I got the Pixel 9 Pro XL for a ridiculous deal in Sweden, so I brought one even though I'm perfectly happy with my OnePlus 11. The main difference that surprised me is battery life. I used to get around 6-7 hours on my OnePlus 11, and I now get between 9-10 hours constantly. The screen is also much brighter and I prefer the flat display making it possible to use a tempered glass screen protector. Also, the cameras are much improved, but that's to be expected going to the Pixel. However, I really liked the cameras on the OnePlus 11 as well.

Couldn't agree more, shipping android 14 with these new devices have been super seamless. I just use it with no hiccups everyone at work keep asking what phone is that and amazed how fast I zoom back and forth answering emails and taking calls, multi tasking on Microsoft teams. Especially when i unfold the P9P Fold. Got a few people going to trade in their iPhone for a Pixel the last couple weeks

I switched from iPhone to 9 XL and Watch 3 45mm. After being a long time Apple user, making this switch is refreshing. Day to day tasks and use are just much faster/more fluid. The AI seemingly knows what I'm trying to do before I even do it ... what used to take 5 swipes and presses now just takes 1. Glad I made the switch.

The main reason the people are dumping on the pixel processor is because it without a doubt performs worse in gaming. Mobile gaming is huge and power users want the best of the best. The fact is, the pixel is obviously weaker in the gaming department. That's most likely why the chip gets criticized

I think Google have got it really right. They got it exactly right, I love it. Very OnePlus - esque to me (back in the oxygenOS days). It's just such a joy to use, haptics really play a big role in this to me. Camera, screen, battery, sound and OS are excellent as well. It's a keeper for sure

Trading in my Fold 4.You know how much I love the king of the hill...the s24 Ultra. We'll see how a Pixel performs as my Daily Driver. Should be here by the 14th....

Which is probably overkill since I was still happy with the kirin 980 in the mate 20x 😅. Would still love a more niche aspect bar/smart phone in the future but until then this will do.

Very nice review. Good job. My 9 Pro XL after 3 weeks started to creak on the back of the phone under G logo. It is annoying. Flagship creaking phone 🙆‍♂️. Many users on Reddit Facebook also wrote about it. I reported it to Google several times, now two more reports have been submitted for 2 days and I'm waiting for a response, they are supposed to ask at a higher level. Meanwhile, this pixel is no longer available in Poland.

After my first experience with both a P8P and P8 being bad/sub par, I'm happy I took another chance with the P9P. Only because I wanted flagship in smaller form. It's been pretty great so far and many gripes i've had aren't there or as prevalent. Long time Samsung Galaxy user, who still loves One UI and the customization and features, and I've been finding it hard to go back to my S24U. Previously had an S21 for 3 years which was great. Pixel feels solid this year.

Checked 9 pro XL in two different stores, both models had a weird non-clicky feeling of the volume and power keys, they were not firm at all and felt as if they were about to fall out. Not sure if that's because if was not a retail device, but the showcased regular 9 pro didn't have this hardware issue.

I have a s24 plus. Shutter lag is real. The fact that Samsung keeps pushing Google Messenger is like they don't want your business. AI aside, would Pixel be a good switch from my Galaxy? I've used both before but overheating and signal reception kept me from staying with Google.

I watched your great review on the Sony Xperia I VI and noticed that it uses the Tele lens for macro shooting. I understand the Pixel uses the wide lens. I want to be able to shoot macro from a distance which the Sony seems to do admirably. As near as I can gather you are better off using the Pixel Tele lens for that. I'm going to be honest, I upgraded from the Pixel 8 Pro to the 9 Pro XL, and sincerely I don't notice any difference, besides the design (which was the reason I upgraded)... I still need to charge the phone twice a day. Other thing I could say is that the new one probably gets less warm while charging even tho I'm using the 30W charger. I got mine for a discount at $800 with shipping included, that's why I upgraded.

I know this is an ode to the P9 series, and I adore my P9P. HOWEVER, I will always own an S Ultra. As good as the P9P is, I miss it and all the extra functionality that comes with it. I'm sticking with my P9P until S25U because I really do enjoy using it. Not to mention how pretty this rose Quartz is. The camera is great, but I prefer Samsung colors. They're both awesome devices.
