I Quit TeamPixel. Can You Trust Pixel 9 Reviews?

I quit Google's TeamPixel program because they implemented a new requirement to show Pixel 9 phones preferental treatment and threatening to remove you from TeamPixel if you showcase other phones. This is completely against my ethics and objectivity as a reviewer and I quit the program. But, does this mean you can't trust Pixel 9 Reviews?

He now works in the Public Sector for the Military as head security for government installations in Colorado and elsewhere. So Thank you for all you have done for this country to keep us safe. Samsung actually listens to their consumers (mostly) so they have no fear and Apple is terrified of another PR crisis like with the phone throttling or being accused of trying to monopolize accessories. I will say this is a first from Google I think. The newest iteration of this device must have them a bit worried if they are resulting to what is basically guerilla tactics in marketing. It's a disgusting practice and can do some serious harm to consumer trust, but it happens a lot. We just aren't always aware of it because someone is always on someone else's payroll so they stay quiet. Anything to make a buck.

Pixel 9 was launched with Android 14. This means the 7-year OS upgrade puts the Pixel 8 and Pixel 9 in the same league. Can you tell me why Google is doing this? Clearly, Google cannot keep its 7-year update policy.

They don't have as many issues as google and their phones.. Pixel 6 and 6 pro Both had issues with their modems connecting to wifi, connecting to 5g, overheating battery drain, etc . The pixel 7 series was no better

I quit team pixel. I tried the 6,7,8 and the reception was horrible with each. The Samsung S series is a far superior phone. These Pixels starting with the Tensor have been junk and the price they want for the 9 series is an absolute joke.

Until they have an SOC comparable to the iPhone and Galaxy's, they can't ask that kind of price for a phone with an SOC from like 2021. My Pixel 8 Pro is laggy, slow and overheats too often for a flagship phone. I love the camera, software and intelligence this phone offers but it's not worth $1,099 for 128 GB. To really bribe you tech KZbinrs into giving them preferential treatment is asinine! Make the best, most competitive product you can and let those results speak for themselves. Google doesn’t expect you to pay full price for the new pixel 9s. Thats why trade in deals are actually insane right now. $799 for an iPhone 12/13? Who’s gonna give you that much money for a used base iphone. iPhones have been the same phone for the last 6 years and they have increased prices and on top of that their trade in deals are absolute crap for their own phones. Yet nobody bats an eye and shells out the money for it. Doesn’t matter that they have the bionic chips when all that power is basically wasted. Samsung has also increased prices and it’s like nobody is batting an eye. The whole titanium build crap is a gimmick and not worth the price increases. Right now a 128gb 8gb ram base s24 is $799. The only meaning difference between them charging $799 and google charging $799 is the SOC which the average consumer will not notice a difference in daily use.

@@monke4070 good points made💯. There's just been too many issues with recent Pixels that aren't an issue with Apple especially. Bluetooth, crappy modems, overheating issues and poor gaming performance. To a lot of people, those are issues that can be a deal breaker. As much as I prefer android, iOS on a modern iPhone is just too refined, especially with the best SOC on the market and hardware that is just plain superior to anything Google offers. I don't count Samsung because I hate them as a company and their skin of android sucks for me.

I’m not going to quit making Pixel videos. If you listen to what I said in the video, I explained that team Pixel is a program with Google where they send out phones to review but because of the stipulations I left team Pixel I won’t be working with them directly anymore and just like most of my pixel phones, I will be buying them and still making all the videos that I normally make so don’t worry about it. If Google are only selecting people they know will give them a favourable review. That surely should tell people that they can’t trust a word coming out of mouth. They should welcome feedback, good or bad and build on that and improve. Apple are exactly the same. Unfortunately most KZbinrs won’t have the same ethics you do. And hence why we are being fed lies and misinformation from them. They don’t want to upset the brand. This then leads to not knowing if a word that comes out of their mouth is true or not. Then they are just not worth watching or listening too for any reviews.

That maks sense why all reviews are so Pixel-positive. But I struggled to find any information about problems people have with Pixel phones - connectivity, battery drain, overheating - due to Exynos modems. Lack of any real customer support.. nothing. And all the independent reviews mentioned the camera not being anything extraordinary even in comparison to Xiaomi flagships. Thanks for honesty!

To be fair that's almost all phones preorder phase....they usually start giving less biased looks after the phones comes out. It's common.
