Hey man, loving the tutorials, been watching all the Pixel Art 101 ones for the past week! That said, it always boggles my brain how the tilesets actually work and how some games solve it. On the “corners with pillars” examples the tile corners seem to go ‘out’ of the original size, which begs the question for best tackling it: - Are the wall tiles actually bigger and have a part of the floor with them? (To make way for the pillar under the same square on the corners) - Are the pillars a stand alone sprite pasted (automatically or by hand) on said corners instead? - Those wall tiles are huge, how is that best tackled? Just larger height tiles? (I.e. 16x48 pixels per wall tile). I definitely gotta practice more no doubt.

Hey Pixel Pete! Thank you for the awesome videos, always learning a lot from you! I am working on a pixel art urban city based game and man... I am having a hard time thinking on how to create urban ground tiles that feel right... like concrete, dirty roads/walkways... it always either feels super empty, or just not right lol... any tips? I used your brick tips to do a "brick road" type of road which looks pretty cool thanks to your tips, but a plain concrete, with some cracks and what not... gee, I cant get it right haha
