This might be a weird request but i'd love to see a tutorial on bridges. I feel like there's so much you can do with them in both the material they're made with and what type of bridge it is.

Hi, recently discovered your channel and i find it so helpful, i have been solo developing games for a few years now and always get hung up on the art because i had to use purchased assets and you know how that can be trying to find matching art from different artists, you ened up with a messy missmatch game, i knew i needed to create the art myself so as it all matches and flows nice throughout the game, since finding your channel i am finally getting somewhere with my pixel art and i am very greatful for that, your tutorials are very well explained as well as keeping it to the point. Keep it up man 👍

I think it's fine using gradients the way you did it here, but it usually just looks bad when amateurs use gradients as a way to make curves and rounded objects look smoother, as if they've not got the confidence to do it in a few colours as say the classic animators would have done in the past for example, with maybe just one main colour, a highlight and a shade. But for a simple flat colour, sometimes doing a straight/linear gradient can make it look less plain, like the backgrounds in the old Amiga game, Gods. And when used the way you've done it, which is actually kinda similar but with that flat colour-gradient simply placed over a surface, it can work too. Generally though, I wouldn't encourage people who don't know what they're doing to use gradients in pixel art, because I think they'll take that all the wrong way and just create fugly art. It's like when beginners try to use dithering similarly--only real masters can use dithering for more than subtle blending [scarcely] and not make it look crap. Very nice wall by the way.
