How large are the dimensions of this final asset?
@Dyagames6 жыл бұрын
I don't remember, but looking at the video, it seems 88 pixels height (because I always work with 16x16 pixels grid). The original file (2x) is here: albertov.deviantart.com/art/Game-Asset-Background-House-713199361

@@Dyagames That's what I'm struggling with, deciding on pixel sizing.
@Dyagames4 жыл бұрын
@@d.redenius5639 If you're making pixel games, I'd recommend 16x16 pixels tilesets and 320x180 pixels as screen resolution. Then, make the rest of assets proportional to a 16x16 grid, for example, 24x24 characters and enemies, 32x32 bosses, 16x16 iitems, etc. You'll have more chances to finish a game this way. Going bigger will just increase the work load and time. I hope that helps!
@d.redenius56394 жыл бұрын
@@Dyagames It really does. Thank you very much. I was messing around with a resolution of 256 x 224 thinking of mimicking the SNES but I did consider the 320x180 and will go that route.
@Dyagames4 жыл бұрын
@@d.redenius5639 The other option is 384 x 216 pixels, which is the game resolution we use more often, and it's very close to SNES resolution height. It has 16:9 aspect ratio and scales perfectly to 1080p. 320 x 180 is easier to work with, though, it's 16:9 aspect ratio as well, and scales perfectly to 720p and 1080p.

How much time u need to do this epic works?

You should create a patreon so ppl could help with some money. You have the best pixel art timelapse channel on youtube. In a way to support your channel, I just bought your 3 games on steam and they are all very good. I like strike sisters the most. Release more games!

Hi man ! I'd like to know when will you draw again game mockups in pixel art ? I appreciate your game assets but you should alternate between the two to do both, you see ? :p But it's such a great work, congrats !
@Dyagames7 жыл бұрын
I'll do that again if I get 1000 likes and 1000 views per video. Start sharing.

I'm curious, why do you do these videos? I love em, but are they for a game, for practice, for fun, or for commission?
@elenamorozan26897 жыл бұрын
Ranen Mannin' for scratch or RPG like games and is usefull AF
@Dyagames7 жыл бұрын
This is an asset for a game I'm working on, but I usually just do it for practice. As soon as you stop making pixel art, you lose skills very fast. Anyway, I don't have much free time now... :(
