Pixel Ripped 1995|Full Playthrough No Deaths Or Failures|PSVR

What's up everybody and welcome to another trophy guide here on CloakedReaperGames. Today were focusing on "The True Hardcore Old School Player" trophy that requires you to beat all of Pixel Ripped 1995 without dying as Dot or failing as the player. This is going to be a tough one but to help you out I'm here bwith a full walkthrough and will be providing tips for each level and boss fight along the way. Tips are at the beginning of each level and boss fight. Somehow the voice over tips for the chapter 5 boss fight got deleted somehow though so I am placing them here. Here you fight the dragon as both the player and Dot except Dot is controlling the player this time around. This is a pretty easy fight with only a couple of things to worry about. The boss' main attack is sending out diamond object to hit you. These are easy to dodge and destroy but sometimes one will spawn under the platform where your standing and hit you so try to watch out for that and jump when it happens. The main attack to worry about is his fireball. When the fireball lands it shoots fire to the left and right covering the platform it lands on. To avoid this whenever the fireball is falling jump in the air then land where it lands as this will be the only spot on the platform it won't cover in fire. The last thing to worry about for this one is when you are damaging the boss with Dot the player is still being attacked in the background buy the floating diamonds so make sure when you are shooting the dragon as Dot you are still avoiding the diamonds in the background. This video was very helpful, but bad news for anyone hoping to save scum to get the trophy. As of the current update on PSVR (v1.05 at the time of this writing) you can no longer use that method and have to do it old school, as the trophy was intended. I tried every method of save scumming from doing it at the Intro then Boss, Main then Boss, and only saving at the Intro on each level. I even made sure to not wake up David's mom on Level 3, but none of those worked. Fortunately, in going through the game so many times, I did manage to git gud enough to get the trophy on my first attempt not using the save scum method. Go figure. 🤷🏾‍♂ And I will say that I did wake up David's mom in my successful run but turned off the TV fast enough to not have her come into the room. So that doesn't negate the trophy. This was a very difficult trophy, but as Cloaked Reaper said... Very rewarding and satisfying, especially if you didn't save scum. Haha. Looking forward to doing it again on the PSVR2 version.

Sorry man. I want to and the plan was to return a long time ago but I've just continuously run into barriers. Medical issues that put me out of commisson and more just keep happening. I was planning to get PSVR2 and come back with a vengeance with it but a family member suddenly passed away in January and everything I had saved for PSVR2 had to go to that. I really am trying man. Just have constantly been taking hits the last 2 years. I will be back someday. I'm in the middle of moving now too so not sure when I will be able to get the new headset. Trying man. Thanks a ton for sticking around and sending the encouragement every couple months! It does mean something.

Hi! I went through this game twice without dying (I "save-scummed" but didn't end up using the save) and the trophy didn't pop. I've tried twice more to get it by playing in one sitting but died to the final boss... Could it be that the EU version of the game is slightly different to the US version?

Sorry for the late reply! Been really busy! The versions shouldn't be different. It's without dying and without failing as the player so if for example you didn't shoot a distraction in time and your mom turns your system off that would void the trophy as a fail by the player. Then you have to keep in mind you have to complete chapter 3 (Castlevania level) without waking your mom up or that will void the trophy as well. If you have done everything correctly and like in the video and the trophy still isn't activating then it's probably a bug and a reinstall will hopefully fix it. Again sorry for the late reply.

@Christian Schönlein No, I haven't. I tried a couple of times since, making sure none of the things you mentioned happened and no luck. With save scumming. I have given up for now, but I should try again in a single sitting.

Fuck, it didn't unlock for me either. I don't know if it's because I accidentally hit a bell in the Castlevania level (I quickly turned off the TV so she wouldn't enter the room). I'm so pissed off I wasted so much time on this.
