Just picked it up today and I have to tell you just how much I love this game. Growing up in the early 90s I saw the last of the early FinalFantasy and bit generation. They make up most of my favorite games. Seeing a card game with similar art and concepts is really nostalgic and I hope to be playing this game on and off for the years to come. Thanks for bringing back such a classic..

We only printed a few hundred copies of the game, and they were intended as extras for people who were already getting the minigame library. However, the demand for this specific game has been way bigger than we expected, so there will probably be an edition with rules and tokens coming out soon.

Yes, a hero cannot both move and attack in the same wave, and it doesn't make a difference which one happens first. So it is not allowed to 'walk' a hero backward through your ranks in order to continuously attack.

My friend and I spent three hours teaching ourselves and playing our first game of Pixel Tactics 2 (it was a one game match; I bought the game on clearance at a local game shop). Sadly, we botched several of the rules and were confused by what exacted some of the hero attack powers were trying to accomplish (we basically voted on it and then agreed to research before next game); most notably we NEVER swapped the turn order markers, so I was ALWAYS first for each wave, and each round. After reading the Tips and Tricks section again, I can see that going first always might be one reason why I was so frustrated by my friend's ability to "control" the entire game. Our mentally exhausting game came down to both of us without decks or hands. My final two heroes failed to save my Leader as she had just taken too much damage in the early game, and my friend's Leader had two more strength, making it a sure-win for him. Good news though, we agreed to watch this video and play again!

good one on you sir! I bought the Mega Man edition (both the MM & Proto Man boxes). Finally unboxed and wanted to see how gameplay would ensue. I definitely enjoy the premise of this, & look forward to future matches. I am already certain I will be purchasing the Bass box as well. Thank you for the nostalgic approach to a novel idea for a Tabletop game!

Great game! Bought pixel tactics, Argent, seven sisters, and price if victory minis with it. Can spend countless hours playing this. The only change I would make is shipping in a bigger box, as it can't house the expansion cards, tokens, and rules in the original box. The other thing is that the rules should come printed in smaller paper, without the play mat attached. It's easier to just play a 3x3 grid on the table. The mat just complicates it. Thanks for the great game! Will be picking up PT4 soon too.

I'm looking for the actual mat that I can print and play. The actual mat is very, very expensive and I understand that is mainly due to material and processing costs but it would be nice to have a high resolution or a decent resolution one (that could even be watermarked) that I could use to play on.

that was a great tutorial i just bought the entire game for my bf birthday 1 to 5 and deluxe and i just see good comments of it , so im happy about it a look foward to play it and i hope other expention will come out :D

Me and friends play in our own format, and after playing 50 or so games we can safely say we under stand why each deck has only one copy of a card, we played with a limit of three and the games turned into either who could pull off the sickest combo, or just use control cards to ruin the other's plan. ( if anyone is interested in the format pm me games in this format last between 5-15 mins depending on the decks) but with the limit of 3 cards and the use of doppelgänger in every deck their where essentially 6 scientists in every match that ended up giving players 14 actions in one wave, esspicallt useful if one uses the gunner leader and drew 6 cards on the cease fire.

Do spells have the same rules associated to it as an "attack does" ? That is, if we are in the RED wave .. but I have a hero in the BLUE row, can it issue a SPELL or can standard attacks AND SPELLS only be an action with heroes in the current wave ? Also, do spells follow the same melee rules ? That is, if we are in the blue wave, and one of my heroes in the blue row has a spell to cast, must the hero be IN melee (ie. no other heroes in front of it ) AND can only attack opposing heros who are in melee ? What if my hero has ranged attach - does the spell follow range rules ?

Question! The rulebook says if a hero has been restructured, it cannot attack this wave. Does this also mean you cannot restructure a hero after attacking? That is, attack, and then move back a row to be ready for the next wave?

wait the hero dies at the end of the wave? so if you attack first and put enough hurt to corpse someone, can that person who goes second then attack you with that character and then turn corpse when the wave is over?

This channels seems to be abadoned but I am realy wondering if is it possible to recruit 2 heroes at the same turn? The article "Recruit a hero" in rules paper has an annotation: "This action is made by heroes or leaders. Keep in mind that the same hero or leader is able to perform this action only once per turn." Does that mean that "Recruit" action is performed by a leader so it can't be performed twice? Tell me if I'm wrong please
