Pixelated Ramblings: Helping SlipperyJim8

Okay. Sort of a weird one today.
This video is primarily for Reddit user SlipperyJim8. He asked for some help with his digging project featured in PP:PI episode 2, and I came up with this solution.
This video is primarily me rambling about said solution in an attempt to explain the code I wrote to help Jim out.
Figured I'd make it public on the off chance someone else finds it interesting or useful, but I don't blame you if you don't stick around for the whole thing.
