Your channel has probably the “best” content and educators for photography in India. I love how you beautifully blend technical and artistic aspects of any concept in your videos. It was such a delightful experience to watch your videos after rummaging through a lot of videos which just tell you a trick or two instead Of teaching the concept. Would love to see you guys doing a review for Nikon D750 and another on how to get started with flash! Which one to buy and how to put it to best use.

My first and only digital camera was the Canon 5D MII. It took me a while to learn that with the flash on, whether it's semi automatic (AV/TV) of manual mode, when the ISO is set at 'Auto' it caps-out at 400 ISO. If you need more ISO, you need to set the ISO manually (take off of 'Auto'). Had a lot of dark photos when I was first learning how to shoot! And wouldn't you know it, it said so in the Canon manual. Don't know if subsequent Canon's have the same limitation. Nice video - shows the flexibility of Aperture priority over Shutter priority.
@PIXELVIILAGE5 жыл бұрын
Thanks for your comment. 🙏 But please go thru the Menu carefully.i am sure, there is a menu to that 'Limits the Max ISO' while on Auto ISO mode. It's a user selectable item and you can set it to your preferred ISO limit. 🙏

I found Manual with Auto ISO the best mode and one must keep the minimum shutter speed of 1/Feq. Equivalent focal length. For APSC with 50mm lens, one must keep shutter speed of 1/80 or above. This gives acceptable sharpness and avoids blur due to camera shake.
@adityamanjrekar34074 жыл бұрын
Again fell in love with this teaching technique. A REAL Master of the current Era you are. Sir Can you please teach us about Manual Mode? Will love to learn more from you.
@SmallSpoonBrigade2 жыл бұрын
You should virtually never use full manual. Usually, you'll care more about the shutter speed or the aperture. The only reason that manual mode still exists is for when your conditions having tricky lighting. For example, taking photos in snow or with a strong backlight. Most of the time, you'll be selecting either Av or Tv setting and letting the camera find an appropriate value for the other settings. Manual settings work, but it's slower and typically won't result in different settings than you'd get by letting the camera fill in the missing value on its own.

Sirjee no words to thank you . excellent learning or guys like us. Sir one suggestion though with auto iso we can also program te shutter speed for eg between say 1/125 to 1/800 or whatever may be the sweet spot of lens . so in that case in av mode or aperature priority mode we can avoid motion blur if any. Vice versa can be done in tv mode or shutter priority where u can plan in the aperature say f2.8 to f8 so only your aperature and iso would be adjusting keeping shutterspeed the same. Thanks again for a wonderful learning community you and your team has created

Great explanations! I always use Auto ISO and spot metering for concert photography work as the lighting changing rapidly. However, in some cheap DSLR their metering system sometimes is not "smart" enough to get constant proper exposure in auto ISO, which lead to under/over exposure images.
@SmallSpoonBrigade2 жыл бұрын
If the camera offers it, it's a great idea to limit the settings to something reasonable. Mine will allow me to set the minimum shutter speed to be equivalent to 1/focal length and a minimum and maximum value for the ISO. It's not perfect, but it will somewhat cut down on those kinds of issues.
What is funny is I been shooting for 20 years and never ever knew about auto iso on a DSLR despite having this feature since I think the 20D and certainly the 7D. The first time I used auto iso was this month, when I got the 5Dmk4. I thought it was cheating. It is amazing.

Very well explained Sir, I’ve been using this mode for years now but nevertheless I watched the whole video. I use my Nikon D750 in M with most of the time at 1/125 and f4 if outdoors with iso minimum 100 and maximum 3200 with noise reduction set at low. If indoors I set it at 1/80 and f2.8. ( obviously shutter speed and aperture if shooting conditions allows it ) Works for me. 👍🏻

Thanks for the great videos. I am an amateur photographer. I have a question. I use canon 1300 D. How Auto ISO is efficient in choosing the correct f stop? Is the efficiency defers from camera to camera? I experimented with both manual ISO and auto ISO, but sometimes auto worked perfectly and sometimes manual gave great results. Looking forward to your answer. Once again, thanking your whole team to help amateur photographers like us to grow.
