Have you ever thought of doing a full A-Z Photoshop video tutorial course where anyone wanting to learn Photoshop can just sit through systematically from the beginning and learn all the major skills required? Something similar to a course like Deke McClelland's Photoshop One-on-One courses but with you, as you're a great educator and your style of teaching is really great for this medium!

The last step of grouping all the edit layers and gradually reducing the opacity to subtly bring back the glare for a natural look is very helpful.

@alvo-oooo4 жыл бұрын
@@hahahahaahhahahaahah I use an XP-Pen Star G960 which costs about $70. Performance is very similar to Wacom. It's lightweight and rugged. The stylus is my one criticism. The button takes a lot of use to get used to. It's black on black and hard to feel. You can get smaller tablets for about half that price, but some are too small to be comfortable in use. At first I couldn't quickly find it to use it and other times I would click accidentally. Not a problem anymore. I can afford a Wacom tablet, but I'm not a heavy, daily Photoshop user and there aren't enough performance differences to justify the cost.

I love your channel, and you have a WEALTH of Photoshop knowledge. I am a photographer, and someone who was fortunate enough to have mentors who taught me to achieve every possible thing I can 'in' camera, and let post be a tool to enhance, not correct. If you're photographing someone wearing glasses, I'd suggest placing your lighting to their side (side lighting) allowing you to still achieve some gorgeous light on you're subject, without the glare of a light source that's causing this issue in the first place. This is still a great tutorial, it just feels aimed at photographers who want to solve everything in post and ignore understanding the basic fundamentals of lighting. Light is everything.

Every time I tune to your videos, I truly enjoy and learn a lot from the topic. I though to add that if someone finds the pace of your presentation a bit fast, they can change it (if they are signed in in KZbin). From the settings icon on the lower right, open the "Playback Speed" and choose a slower pace; for me .75 will do perfect! Giving me time to absorb the information as you go. BTW, I love your presentation style! Professional, friendly and encouraging...

Sorry to be the dog in the manger BUT, I suggest everyone save themselves a lot of time by removing the lenses from the eyeglass frame and posing the subject and shooting without the lenses. My point here is not to lose sight of the objective. In this case removing the lens glare. Without lenses we have no glare or colour aberration to deal with. One could easily add some very subtle understated reflection to convince the audience there is actually glass lenses in the frame. A much more direct fix for this type of edit IMHO. That stated, you did mention that your tutorial would be your fix for a post shoot edit and is very well presented. I have learned so much from your channel and thank you for your skillful tutorials. BTW, shooting the subject while wearing glasses with the lenses removed was A tip from a photographer who immigrated from Egypt to Toronto Canada and made a very successful career here. He photographed many of Canada's elite people.

Few of our people know how to speak intelligently, due to our very poor public education system here (and it is getting wordse by the day, especially in our big cities.) I've said before, love your work! In my job I do a great deal of exactly this in school portrait photography...so, I was very pleased to discover that your method is almost exactly the same as the one I have developed over the years :) Only difference is that for speed, I usually work more without layers and masks and rely greatly on the history brush (very underrated tool), but on more difficult ones like this, yes layers are the way. I am amazed at your depth of knowledge! So much to learn :)
