Just by watching 5-6 of your videos, I finally started understanding masks and adjustment layers and when/why/how I should use them. Nice tutorial! I'd suggest, however, to set any layer providing a shadow element (like the shadow of the glass on those boards) to “Multiply". In my experience this makes the shadow more realistic as its colour interacts more convincingly with the colour of the object it is cast on (just as the light does in real life).
