Thanks for the tutorial, Wido. It's fascinating to watch how you process your images. I work quite differently in some of the steps, but there's always something new I can learn. In my opinion, blending RGB with narrowband is the way to go. Many nebulae look great in narrowband but also contain reflection nebulae, and we are really missing out if we only focus on narrowband imaging.

Thanks! Yes, narrowband reveals high contrast emission nebulae, broadband color reveals the whole universe :-). It's challenging to shoot in full color from the city but well worth the effort.

Nice tutorial Wido! ever thought about getting Noise Exterminator from RC Astro? I know its a paid addition but its fantastic IMO. Cheers Simon

Your Bias frames will calibrate your flats, so you don't need dark flats! (As per Adam B's tutorials)

This was a very well executed workflow for beginners or those like me now playing around with blending HA and RGB. In addition to Multi scale Linear Transform, you can use Multi scale Median Transform and TGV Denoise to reduce noise after stretching.

What do you think about guiding camera like the "ASI 2600 MC DUO Color" it has a main-sensor and one for guiding (2in1 system). i think in future there will be get more of these.

It appears to work rather well. I have multiple cameras without the extra sensor so I'm sticking to my (old!) widefield guidescope for now. Cheers.
