I have had to use my little savings to stock up on all supplies, toilet paper, paper towels, medical items, batteries, candles, etc. I am buying bar soap instead of body wash, cheaper shampoo and conditioner from the dollar store. I purchased extra toothpaste and toothbrushes, cotton balls, laundry soap, fabric softener, vinegar, cleaning supplies, sponges. I have purchased some canned goods. I have to purchase grocery items now that I can vacuum seal or store in mason jars .

If you live alone you don’t need the large quantities that Costco sells. Especially perishable goods. Costco has an annual membership cost and good luck going to Costco and leaving without spending $200-300 minimum. For students just arriving it’s not the best option. Unless you need to buy 5 heads of lettuce at once.
