This IAR is one of the few planes that work on every tier, I’m using it on 8.0 with aubl, r30, centauro and sidam. Works like a charm - bomb straight vertically and you get a frag, rockets can kill anything up to obj279 or is7, gun belts are capable of penning bmp1-3, any aa and sometimes even leopards or some Sweden tmls. And even in a air fight you still have 2 20mm mgs with menengeshoses, giving you a frag on a single hit. Awesome plane.

You should try the J8A. With the new patch the 8mm machine guns do a lot of damage and the post penetration effect is just perfect. Edit: they just fixed it recently...

The AB43 is pretty tough to play in an uptier, but it's absolutely brutal at it's BR or at a downtier clubbing reserves. It's a wildly good F2P option for grinding events where you need to use a rank 2 vehicle, and you have decent CAS vehicles with the Re.2000GA on tap as backup.

Honestly the j8A is the most op plane at low tier, its guns can literally pen most things from the side and the top as well is really easy to get tanks from, I think i got a 7k with just that plane in a ground battle like a couple of weeks ago

Personally I love this little thing, as long as you keep it at 2.0, if you up tier it like you've done here then the new m3a3 is a better machine other than pure speed. The premium plane I got a 50% discount on. Worth the ge I spent on it, personally I use the stealth belts so enemy cas doesnt realize until it's to late.

man i wish they would give the italian 47mm gun their EP (HESH round), its got just over half the velocity of the standard round but depending on sources 45-55mm of penetration. there is also a EPS (HEAT) round which the germans used in large numbers until the end of the war based on ammunition reports about captured italian 47mm equipped units [and thus must have been somewhat effective compared to the APHE round. but there is no reliable source about its penetration that i could find (though unreliable sources claim between 97-115mm, which is not completely unreasonable as US 40mm experimental HEAT rounds had ~113mm without fins in the 1960s [140mm with fins], but still seems a little high. 97mm claim from a source claiming a german weapons magazine calculation thus is probably the more accurate number )

I initially bought the plane out of patriotism, then realized it can clap people in Air RB as a fighter and Ground RB as CAS. It was my first Premium and I don't regret it!

i sugest you for the 7.56 mm guns to put the stealh ammo (they are explosive very good to kill planes and vehicles) and for the canons the anti air ammo or the stealh one too even tho the anti air one has more explosive amo and more ammunition so yeah the anti air one at the canons

Yeah Italy low tier kinda sucks A LOT ! All the tanks have the same useless gun (even the bloody tank destroyer) and basically the best vehicle is the SPAA AS42. It is very off putting to try and grind higher tiers when you already start of so weak and pointless ! Oh and BTW, Odd what would your opinion be of the Sweedz having 100mm pen SABOT rounds for RESERVE TANKS !? I didnt tell my friend that they have that option or he would just up and quit the game basically. Love the content and glad someone else also had to struggle !

If you think the AB43 is bad, you should look at the 47/32 L40. Not to long ago it was 1.7 with 2 crew members, but the recently changed it to give it a commander and still bumped it down to 1.3. It is slow, has little armor, a super long reload for a mediocre gun, and is open top. Literally the only thing good about the 47/32 L40 is it has a small silhouette. If you feel like suffering, give it a try.

You should retry the ab 43, I honestly don't know if it's because of other vehicles br changed or what but it's so stupid to play rn... The other day I played it at 9.0 and got 7 kills with it... More than double the actual 9.0s I played that game... At its own br that 47mm has way too much he filler in it's aphe. More than the German long 88... That's terrifying. If it even touches you right now you basically disappear... And for whatever reason people seem to suck at finding the guy in the back of the hull if you broadside them so it's survivability is kinda nuts too (though that's just because of stupid players, not because an actual attribute of the vehicle). On IAR side I will admit that the catapult is difficult to learn but once you do it becomes scary... I can regularly place the 250 directly on top of any Sherman sized vehicle. And I am an average player on a good day. Those rockets are so useful for aa and lightly armoured targets too because you can basically fire and forget if you get used to them. In air battles the 20mms make this thing a terrifying boom and zoom. Not to mention it can stall at like 80kph which I can say I don't know of any non-byplanes that can say the same, though I'm sure there are others. Italy also has a robust 2.7rb lineup too due to some of the other tanks we have access to... Like the 75 m43 and similar m40 line of tank destroyers. Those guys have a very niche play style but if you do get good at it, it can be incredibly effective. Honestly, super fun. Try it for yourselves if you don't believe me. Idk, everything but I enjoy it... Have fun with this as you will.
