Yo Danny just my opinion but PIZZA HUT IS MY FAVORITE BY FAR OF THE fast food pizzas joints. Ya 1Pizza Hut 2.Papa Ginos 3.Papa Johns 4.Dominos 5.Little Caesar’s Those are in my area. Pizza Hut's is an actual proper fastish-food version of a Detroit Deep Dish, though the Little Caesar's version (Deep!Deep! Dish) is pretty dang tasty -- except the sauce isn't on top in that one. I'll be hitting the Hut for one of these to share with my bestie, as soon as I get some monies coming in again (soon!). The pepperoni slices on this reminded me heavily of the "Old World" pepperoni from Marco's -- which is in itself a huge win. nice review -- got yourself a new sub!

Native Detroiter here... I'm curious to try it, but I'm skeptical because we have so many great options already to get authentic Detroit Style. Glad you liked it! It's a killer style that a lot of people don't know about. Gotta do the corner slice! I do my own Detroit Style at home... it's my favorite way to pizza. Enjoy! Know that Little Caesar's is a Detroit brand and their Detroit Style is pretty good too. If you're ever in the area, grab an M-43 Hazy IPA. Goes great with ANY pizza! Our restaurants can re-open tomorrow... Gotta grab some pizza soon at a sit down.

I was born and raised in Detroit and metro Detroit. I even delivered pizza for 2 different pizza places when I was a teenager. When exactly did this become a thing? When I was there the only place that had sauce on top was uno’s pizza and they called it ‘chicago style’. Otherwise I’ve never seen that anywhere around Detroit!

Very different. Sicilian style is spongey. Detroit style has what’s called a “fried” crust. The oil under the dough causes the crust to get extra crispy. As a native metro Detroiter, I’m excited to try it and compare to what we usually have.
