I remember exactly where I was ...it was in a small town called Biograd na Moru close to Zadar and I was in a very cosy restaurant Casa Vecchia ...I had my favourite pizza Prosciutto...i never get tired of prosciutto :DD

Yeah the best pizza I ever had was in Croatia as well. Somewhere in Istria as a matter of fact. I forgot the name of town, it was 10 years ago. And I had pizza all over Europe including Italy. Actually you are a lot closer to Italy when you are in Istria than you think. The land border is just a few miles from the Croatian border there in Istria. Istria actually used to be a part of Italy until the end of ww2. That’s why the traffic signs and everything around there is in Italian and Croatian. It’s culturally a bit different than the rest of Croatia because of that. Great videos guys. Your videos and all this Croatian success at the World Cup have made me homesick so much lately that my girlfriend and I are planning the trip to Croatia before the end of the year and another one next year. -Croatian living in the USA Keep up the great work!!

Exactly. Here in Croatia, we slice the Pizza. You do it yourself (8 triangles), then take each of the triangles by the hand, and enjoy it. Also, you don't order just the Pizza if you are a Croatian..but also the different dressing/ad-on's, with it, like tomato sauce, garlic source, fresh cream sauce or ajvar (mashed paprika and eggplant sauce), and additional olive oil...putting each of the different dressings/sauces and olive oil over the triangles (by litle spoon)...to make it more tasty/juicy/yummy, and slowly devouring it (3 bites per triangle...for me). Starting from the tip to the rim. It is a science here in Croatia. Pizza is not just "The Pizza"...but a moment to enyoj. Slowly and kinda "ritualistic". The best pizzas in the world are in pizzeria Basciera in Zagreb, Croatia.

Pula is croatian name and italians call the city "Pola" but there is funny thing with that "Pola" in croatian means "Half" like pola pizze "half pizza", but nothing beat's romanian meaning lol

Remember that Croatia, specially the Istrian and Dalmatian regions were under venetian rule for centuries... if you look carefully, there are many buildings with the winged lion and a book. That's the emblem of St Mark the evangelist, saint patron of the republic of Venice... and before that, it was part of the roman empire... just some kilometers south of Pula there is Split, or Spalatino, where emperor Diocletian was born and whose retirement palace still exists... I've had one of the best pizzas of my life in a konoba just outside that palace...

Now we're back home in Australia, I find myself watching yet another of your videos. We too went to Jupiter pizza, and himself decided we should go for the jumbo size. OMG. Even the waiter commented we should go for a smaller size next time LOL Superbly yummy pizza. Maybe one day I'll fit into my clothes....

Hi been following you for a while. Food reviews are nice but food is food kinda getting boring for me. As a traveler we would love to see more things to do see in Croatia and/or tips on what trains buses are best to take price comparison if you take an Uber vs bus. Stuff like that. I would love to move or travel there or Slovenia regardless info like what just mentioned will help. For example the tip about being aware of taking the bus out Lake Bled and the crowd heading out will definitely help schedule that day. Anyhow love you guys and the quality of your camera.

In terms of our format we usually start off a series from a place with a few food videos, then a guide, sometimes an apartment tour and then a travel vlog to the next destination. For information and things to do and eat the guides are definitely the best bet from our channel. Would totally understand skipping the rest. Actually earlier this year we started doing tips videos following the guides and I think we'll revive that again soon but for now we have such a backlog of content we need to get through that first.
