We went to Pizza Rio on our last trip to the Smokies and couldn't agree more with everything you all said. The food was excellent and the service was even better. We will be going back for sure. The fresh lemonade was another highlight of the meal for me. Great video!

I had no idea that there was such a concept of a restaurant like this! How fun! Really, not bad price if you go hungry and get to try everything. Again, Looks like excellent quality ingredients! Wow! We plan to go back again soon and try all of the pizzas that we couldn't get to in this visit. lol, that's hilarious. We know the feeling. Thanks for the comment on the clean shirt - that doesn't happen too often. My shirt usually looks like an old shop rag by the time I'm done with my meal when I eat foods with sauces. Brazilian here! Those cheese breads are made with cassava starch, which looks similar to corn starch. But foods prepared with cassava starch tend be gooey and stretchy. I have recommendations for you guys. If there are good brazilian restaurants in your area, try other brazilian dishes. If you like roasted meat, look for a brazilian rodízio steakhouse, as it's the same style as that pizza place, but with roasted meat. They keep roasting and bringing several cuts of roasted beef, chicken and pork to you table. And if you like pork, try "feijoada", our national dish. It's stew with black beans and salted/cured/smoked pork cuts. It's eaten with rice, farofa (toasted and flavored cassava flour), vinagrette, sautéed collard greens and orange slices for digestion, as it's a heavy dish. Another brazilian dish is "moqueca baiana", a stew with afro-brazilian root and prepared with white fish fillets, onions, tomato, bell peppers, coconut milk and dendê oil, an aromatic vegetable oil widely used in the cuisine of the Bahia state in Brazil.

Nice! I'm Brazilian ! What kind of tea? It is a black tea or a Mate Tea that is very popular here?! But that brazilan coffee seems more a cappuccino than a tradicional coffee . But all seems to be very tasty ! The kid really like fruits, the apple pizza was his favorite 😋

This is such a beautiful restaurant. We went in shortly after they opened and looked around. We have never actually made it there to eat. Lots of different toppings and combinations on the pizzas. I was surprised that there was a sweet tea alert here. The strawberry nutella pizza looked so good! Excellent review of this Brazilian Pizza Restaurant. Good job on keeping that shirt clean Brent! I'm thinking Jennifer must be an amazing cook. Both boys did a great job with the review as always!

Brazilians discovered a long time ago how to make hundreds of flavors of pizza using only local ingredients, without being stuck with the same 5 types of Italian pizzas. Some ignorant person always appears, who doesn't even know the ingredients, confusing Brazilian cream cheese with mayonnaise, criticizing them without ever having tasted it.

This is a good place for traditional pizza folks like me to go check out and try new styles. I stick to the tried and true pizza but I am willing to branch out. I am always afraid to order anything different, just in case I don't like it. Rio would be the perfect place to check out the different kinds and see what I think of them. This is so true. Our boys just enjoy tried and true flavors but ended up enjoying some of the other flavors they brought out as well. You can't go wrong with the dessert pizzas. What happens to a kid at age 8 to where they are charged $6 more? 😂 You had to do a cut away on Henry there as he was in a very talkative rambling on endlessly mode… God love him. Those are Potato Sticks! I was raised on those back in the 70s. Greasy hands all salty with cuts from the can’s lid. Hard to find these days. And Gentry… he could be a model he’s so handsome.
