PIZZA TOWER '19 PLUS - SAGE 2024 DEMO

Basically a mod for a remaster version of the 2019 sage build demo, that reimagines the game in a familiar and new way. New sprites, animations and more. For a demo it shows that even old things can be fixed with some new twist. Also a bit of a note the only way you can play the game for Lap 2 and P rank is by finishing the level first, I already did it and just played it again for the lap 2 run. I love that the "Mask Guy"(the little fella in the combo meter) gets more and more demonic the higher your combo is.

The Sage Demo is what first introduced me to Pizza Tower. This genuinely looks like it came from an alternate reality where the final game kept some of the same mechanics and level design but spruced up a level. Though I do prefer how tightly designed the final levels ended up being. The levels here are still really well designed but it really shows the difference between amateur and pro level design. Amateurs tend to make levels that are a bit too long, empty and repetitive while pros know how to pace their levels so they're constantly engaging and something you can really only get a feel of by playtesting your levels hundreds of times and the long development time this game had didn't go to waste.

I completely agree but it's still funny to even call it "amateur vs. pro," in whatever case this is Tour de Pizza's first attempt ever and they somehow knocked it out of the park. Obviously there's a lot more to it than that, like the fact it took like 3½ years after the SAGE demo to have a finished product, and lots of Patreon support in that interim, but they've now set the bar ridiculously high.

its funny SAGE was the earliest case of use being blown away with the silliness of Pizza Tower now its a Very Beloved Indie game complete with expansion updates amongst the greats this feels very much like a Full Circle moment to see someone wanted to improve the original beta in their own way i really am surprised this exists at all when the game already went up to the stratosphere in matters of public awareness especially for many longing for more Wario Land 4-like content with a very sympathetic protagonist in Peppino

HOLY PEPPERONY!!! This mod is honestly something to be praised on. I remember first playing the original Sage '19 Demo which introduced me to Pizza Tower, and knowing this mod is real, it's a love letter to the PT Community I like the improvement over the original Sage '19 Demo updating it to the level of the Final Cut of PT. So as upgrading the artstyle to a EVEN MORE smooth and goofy cartoon-like but keeping the soul of Pizza Tower and keeping the Sonic and Wario Land 4 mechanics on... And the goofy aah Ed Edd & Eddy and Tom and Jerry sounds As I prefer how the Final Cut' levels ended up, this mod is a ‘what if’ of going beyond on sprites, BG's and level designs but keeping the same mechanics as the beginning of the Sage 19'. So HANDS DOWN... Best PT Mod of this year, and nothing can overtop it 💯

It feels a lot like regular Pizza Tower even though it's like 100% made from the ground up it's so smooth and fluid and Mr Incognito has the Wario Land 4 Shopkeeper Charm I wonder if they will make a boss build or a Snicks challenge level or level 2

Didn't play Super Mario Wonder, but I am familiar of Gravity Circuit .The thing that lead me to the game was not only the way it combines the sprite style of the first 3 megaman x and zero for melee combat. The game also have its built in level editor, no joke you can look it up at the devs twitter page of it. Still waiting on it though.
